Hi Authenticators,
Could you please check my latest purchase from shopgoodwill when you get a chance? The leather(?) is a little glossy and not what I expected so I hope it's authentic so I can sell it.
Thank you as always for your help.
Anne

Item: Coach Women's Black Leather Crossbody Satchel (F1093-15959)
Link:
Dimensions: Length (center) 14" x 9" Height x 3" Depth

Genuine, made in 2010. I think it was called a Madison Convertible Leather Hobo, at least that's what the sellers on Ebay are calling it.

Thank both of you for replying. Yes, the first two links in the BeenBurned's post is what I was talking about. The photos in my post was taken by myself when I received the bag last night. I found that the bag I received doesn't look like what nschewe listed. So I looked other lists of hers and found that she was using the same images for anther item that was sold. However, since the bag is genuine, I'm not going to complain to Poshmark. But I agree that buyers need to be cautious or avoid the seller.

As for the creed, I was comparing it to other vintage Coach bags so I thought it's unusual that there's no dash line. Sorry about that. I'm new to vintage coach bags and still have a lot to learn:smile:

Some of us have a pretty good idea where those indented turnlock kits are coming from. And while one of Coach's partners has said that those indented styles were actually used by Coach for a fairly recent special project, she did NOT indicate that Coach had made them available for sale to the general public, in fact she said she didn't know. So it seems to me that another person who's selling these kits and somehow contradicting himself in his own listings for them is hoping that people will think they're the same as Coach's original turnlocks when they're definitely not. Anyone who puts those on a genuine Coach bag and then lists it for sale on a public site is probably going to have their bag looked at EXTREMELY closely. I'm also very skeptical that Coach is going to sell a complete turnlock kit cheaply enough that a private seller can RE-SELL it for EIGHTEEN DOLLARS! Unless nschewe and anyone else selling the same kit can prove that they actually bought the kits directly from Coach, they cannot legally use Coach's name in their listing, unless it's to say something like "similar to and designed to fit Coach bags".

And I'm going to emphasise this - WE HERE AT tPF DO NOT REPORT ANY COACH BAG AS FAKE BASED ONLY ON THE TURNLOCK HAVING INDENTATIONS ON THE BACK PLATE !!! Turnlocks, like straps and hangtags, can be changed or replaced and a "Coach" or Foach is ONLY reported by us when other PERMANENT details of the bag such as creed stamps and serial numbers indicate that it's counterfeit. If "someone" is trying to directly or indirectly blame any authenticators here at tPF or even at Ebay's Fashion forum for reporting any of his listings as fake, s/he's 100 percent WRONG. We do very rarely make mistakes, but we're NOT stupid. Nor are we as vindictive as some people who think that calling us filthy names and telling outright lies about us behind locked doors is a responsible way of doing business.

To the best of my knowledge Coach hasn't sold turnlock kits directly to the public for a very long time, if they ever did. If someone wanted a Coach turnlock replaced with another Coach turnlock, they either sent it into Coach for the repair or one of the SAs in a Coach store would do the replacement if they had the correct turnlock set.

I might look into this a bit more, so keep your radios tuned to Station K-HYA for updates. :graucho:

It's genuine, and you know and I know that it's LATE 1980s, not " 1970s or early 1980s " like the seller says.
