Hi Authenticators,

Please can you help - is this bag authentic?

FOR ITEMS LISTED ONLINE:
Item: Coach Cassie colour block body bag
Listing number:124612197919
Seller and site where listed: Ebay seller nicwel64
Link:https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Coach-Cassue-Coloyr-Bliock-Cross-Body-Bag/124612197919

Comments: I'm already bound to buy as seller accepted my offer so really hoping it's real! Thanks in advance!

Sorry, I feel like my posts are a bit annoying because they aren't vintage items :-(

Seller nschewe

I think this is the listing in question: https://poshmark.com/listing/Coach-Crossbody-British-Tan-Vintage-Purse-6025e3dbefd0e4bfebb8cdd9
and this is the same bag I believe:

I question which pictures in which listings are the seller's own pictures of the actual items. She has different pictures, backgrounds and photographing styles in her listings.

Hey, @Hyacinth - Didja happen to see these other items from nschewe? (There are also several other of the same sets that were sold.)

And this was sold.

Personally, I recommend extreme caution or avoidance of nschewe.

Thank both of you for replying. Yes, the first two links in the BeenBurned's post is what I was talking about. The photos in my post was taken by myself when I received the bag last night. I found that the bag I received doesn't look like what nschewe listed. So I looked other lists of hers and found that she was using the same images for anther item that was sold. However, since the bag is genuine, I'm not going to complain to Poshmark. But I agree that buyers need to be cautious or avoid the seller.

As for the creed, I was comparing it to other vintage Coach bags so I thought it's unusual that there's no dash line. Sorry about that. I'm new to vintage coach bags and still have a lot to learn:)

Your posts aren't annoving as we authenticate any Coach items with which we're familiar; vintage or not, handbags or not, accessories or not, shoes or not, etc. As long as someone knows the item in whatever category, we can try to authenticate it.

The reason (I suspect) that you didn't get an answer to your request is probably because none of the authenticators know the item well enough to authenticate it. Additionally, the style is among the highly and "well-faked" items we've been seeing.

Although I don't see obvious red flags in the listing you've asked about, I'm not comfortable with the seller's "listing style.'

I'm a little concerned with nicwel64 's listings as there are some patterns I've seen in listings from sellers who know their items are fake but try to circumvent restrictions by misspelling key words, avoiding brand names, blurring or not showing adequate pictures that would confirm or deny authenticity, etc.

For example, seller has a "Mulberry" item listed as "Mukberry," L.K. Bennett shoes listed as "Lk Bennet" and the listing in question, "Coach Cassie" listed as "Coach Cassue ."

Whether these errors are intentional or not, they raise red flags in the minds of people who are used to seeing questionable sellers and listings.

Again, I don't see obvious problems but the listing doesn't prove authenticity to me. Personally, I wouldn't have purchased it.

Sorry I can't be more help. Other opinions are welcome.

Oh good, thanks for coming back. I did wonder about the whole spelling thing. Fingers crossed I've not been burned. It's due to arrive tomorrow so I'll see what the quality is like compared to my other genuine coach bags!

Hi Authenticators,
Could you please check my latest purchase from shopgoodwill when you get a chance? The leather(?) is a little glossy and not what I expected so I hope it's authentic so I can sell it.
Thank you as always for your help.
