FYI I purchased a cute little older Coach Demi Bag in great condition from Liberty Store. I would have been very happy with it EXCEPT it reeked of cigarette smoke. The auction said it came from a smoke free environment. I must say they were very professional about taking it back, even paid for return shipping. I gave them positive FB. I don't like leaving & rarely leave negative except in extreme cases.

I'm afraid I've got a negative experience with libertystore already. They've ignored my 5 requests for a combined shipping invoice on the 4 items I purchased within their rule of 3 days (the first invoice request was made immediately after the fourth item ended). When I try to pay, shipping is not calculated correctly. They've initiated NPB (probably automatically) despite my invoice requests. This is not good.

It's a genuine Station Bag made in 2002.

I tried asking the sellers to send better pictures of the unclear creeds, but either they don't respond or say something about being unwilling to post pictures after bids have been submitted. (huh?)

Please authenticate these. Thank you in advance!

1- "Court Bag" is very probably fake. Incorrect turnlock, "elephant-skin" wrinkles, and even with such a poor creed pic, I don't like what I'm seeing there.

2- City Bag looks ok

3- Willis? - Absolutely no way to tell, this style is highly faked and we have to see a creed stamp and serial number.

I had seen the Court bag & was leery about it because of these reasons & sloppy / uneven sewing around some of the piping. Thanks for confirming that it's questionable.

This isn't advice I'd give in every case, but in this one, I suggest you pay for the items (if you still want them) and after the fact, email the seller, point to their listings where they offer combined shipping and demand a refund of the overage you paid.

And again, though I'm not an advocate of dinging sellers' feedback, it is something I'd recommend if you don't get a response or don't get an appropriate one.

These big sellers need to learn that buyers are their bread and butter and if they don't do the right thing, whether it be honest disclosure of condition or odors, adequate pictures for authentication purposes or replying to emails and questions, their reputations will suffer.

And this is why I wasn't impressed in the first place with Liberty Store!

My comment concerns sellers. Sellers who don't respond to questions and requests or those who refuse to comply with legitimate requests in order for a buyer to do her due diligence are not sellers I would want to do business with.

The styles, city bags, willises and court bags are plentiful enough that you can find plenty of honest, responsive sellers with good pictures or willing to send good pictures who you can buy from.

JMHO.

Should a knock-off selling off Coach name be allowed on eBay / is it allowed? The seller has 15 coppy-cat auctions.
The fragrance is legal. There are hundreds (or thousands) of legal inspired copies of name brand everything, from perfumes to handbags to food products to shoe styles, etc.

As long as they aren't calling it "Coach" or whatever brand, it's legal.

The only possible problem with this seller's listing is that it might be considered KWS (key word spamming) by ebay. KWS is when someone uses a word that doesn't apply to the product being sold. And since this isn't Coach perfume, it shouldn't have "Coach" in the listing.

This is ebay's KWS policy. Whether they'll act on reports for the violation would be anyones guess.
Keyword spamming

Keyword spamming is when people use words or details (such as brands, item condition, model names, pop culture terms, product names, style, and type) that have nothing to do with their items so that their listings will show up in search results. Since this clutters eBay and makes buying and selling more difficult, we don't allow keyword spamming (see also brand names).

iconAllowed_25x25.gif

Allowed

  • All the words in your listing have to be accurate and refer only to the item for sale.
  • For lot listings, you can specify all the different items in the lot. For example, "This lot includes 2 pairs of shoes, 2 shirts, 1 pair of pants, 3 pairs of shorts, and a jacket."
  • You can use synonyms to describe an item. For example, you can call a handbag a purse.
iconNotAllowed_25x25.gif

Not allowed

  • Calling out similarities—for example, when selling a DVD, don't talk about Blu-ray discs.
  • Comparisons between products aren't allowed. For example, you can't say things like "shirt not pants" or "video not Nano."
  • Descriptions that promote items in other listings. For example, a listing for shoes can't say things like, "Check out my other listings for hats, shirts, pants, coats, gloves, and underwear."
  • Hiding unrelated keywords in a listing by using white-on-white text, tiny fonts, or HTML or JavaScript code.
  • Keywords in any part of a listing that aren't related to the item you're selling. Here are some examples:
    • If you're selling a shirt, the title can't say "Nike shirt size M – shoes, hat, shorts."
    • If you're selling an MP3 player, the listing description can't have keywords like "purse, shoes, baseball hat, DVD, toys, cell phone," etc.
  • Words with question marks (such as "carved wood dresser – antique?"). If you're not sure about a detail, don't call it out at all because doing so can be misleading.

Back to Liberty Store
As explained above they fixed my problem. However, I'd never purchase from them again because they were not truthful in the first place. That very strong smoke smell could NOT have been overlooked. I smelled it as soon as I opened the box. I notified them right away that I'd probably need to return the bag but wanted to see if I could remove the cigarette stench first. I Googled & tried everything for 2 whole weeks, finally had to return it. Now that I'd heard more bad things about them this is not at all good. I myself will bend over backwards to please shoppers as I know it's my customer's who make my business and without buyers a seller has nothing. I want us both to be happy. :peace:

Thanks for detailed reply. I had already reported this to eBay because of "Coach" in the title to describe an item that is not an authorized Coach product also search manipulation. Most likely, they won't remove it.
