Yes, I was aware that you needed to see the creed & yes, that is a picture of my bag's creed 063 - 3049. Thanks for the confirmation that it's real, also for pointing out the spacing & giving it a name. All these years I thought it was fake because as I stated in a previous post yesterday, after I purchased it, eBay removed the listing. Mine is in very good condition too! Thanks again.

You're welcome.

Unfortunately Coach's Archivist was just able to confirm the existance of genuine Bean Bag creeds within the last year, so some were removed before we got that information. I just hope most of what were removed were actually counterfeit.

"Oh, one more thing, do the numbers in my white & brown Coach Riding Bag Spectator mean anything? 063 - 3049 They don't start out with No or have any letters. This must have been from when every Coach had individual numbers & could be registered? Thanks again"

No, all serial numbers from before 1994 were all random numbers and none of them means anything. There's more information in the Salearea Guides on Creeds and on Serial Numbers. Genuine bags made in 1994 and later should always include at least one letter of the alphabet:

Thanks again for all the info. and help

Good luck with your dealings with Liberty Store & don't count on your items being smoke free.

Thanks! They finally sent me an invoice with the correct shipping amount. I guess now I just wait and see what I get.

Sorry to hijack the thread. Maybe some good will come from this someday and someone will search this thread for libertystore and see that they may not be a seller they want to deal with. :shame:

Hi - I've been doing some catch up reading and it's time for me to stick my two cents in.
Regarding LIBERTY STORE....I am not advocating for any particular seller(s) but I don't like to see anyone get bashed unnecessarily.

1. Just because someone may receive a bag with a smoke odor does not necessarily mean ALL of that seller's items smell of smoke. If they are a fairly large outfit they probably get their stuff from a variety of individual sources and may have inadvertently gotten one from a previous smoker. I know I always try to detect a smoke odor, but as it says in MY listings, everyone's sensitivities are not the same.
In my opinion the seller did the right thing, apologized, refunded, and paid for the return shipping voluntarily.
What more could you ask?

2. Combining shipping costs - maybe they did not respond as quickly as expected (they do have TONS of listings) but they did send a combined invoice after all.

3. I agree they could use more and better photos.

Let's be a little more "forgiving" of little mistakes, there are real people behind these ebay stores and nobody is perfect!

WHEW, thank you.:peace:

Thank you!
1 and 3 look fine. I believe #2 is fake. You should avoid any bags that have a creed prefix of K3H.

Is it OK to sell Coach hang tags that come on Coach bags on eBay now? Just wondering.
BTW, this charm did not come on any handbag.
It was a stand-alone item.

There were similar charms that decorate some Soho hobo bags.
They are a little smaller and are secured around the strap (you can't remove them without cutting
the chain).
The large charm group has a clasp like a bracelet.

This listing shows the similar chain/charms...also there are only 2 charms, not 3.

Welcome to the purse forum. You got yourself a very cute authentic vintage Coach bag! It was probably made in the early 90s. It has a unique serial number so the style can't be identified without measurements. It looks like it could be a compartment bag spectator if it is about 9 1/2 inches by 6 inches by 2 1/4 inches.

I tried to say that!

ETA: Speaking of hangtags for sale, here is why it might not be a good idea:

Yay! I love it so much. I had this burning itch to stop by my goodwill on the way home from an exam, it was unexplainable, but then I found this! Through reading it seemed like a bag between 89 and 94 based on the numbers, but that's about all I could get.

I'm sorry, but I must respectfully disagree. Opening NPB before giving a correct invoice is unthinkable, let alone easily forgivable, to me. I've been a power seller, selling thousands of dollars per month. It isn't rocket science, and is no excuse to ignore multiple days of multiple requests for a correct invoice.
