Please follow the following requests:
  • Before you submit a request for authentication, please search this thread to make sure that the item has not previously been authenticated by searching the seller ID and/or item number. This is not a thread to ask general questions about COACH, please refer to our main Coach forum for such information.
  • Note that authenticators have the right to refuse any requests. This is a free service, but it is imperative that you help our authenticators by using the following format:

BASIC PICTURES REQUIRED (but more may be requested): If necessary pictures are in the listing, it's not necessary to upload and duplicate them.
  • Front of item

  • Full clear and legible creed text and serial number
  • Made in tags (when available)
  • Measurements
  • For bags with turnlock closures, show pictures of back of female side of turnlock
  • For bags with magnetic snaps, show pictures of the male part of the snap so that the numbers and letters on it can be read
  • If applicable, search interior of bag and/or pockets for small white tag with production information and include a picture of that.

I'm going to take a break from buying and rehab some of these bags. I have a red geometric that I made worse in my attempts to rehab. I ended up dyeing it burgundy and it turned out lovely. As soon as I get the hardware back on it I'll share pictures in the rehab thread.

I think the bag is fine as, other than the leather difference on the pocket and the hangtag everything else looks really good. It just looks so new for a bag in the 20ish year old age.

It looks ok. Maybe the previous owner just didn't like the size, or was paranoid about using a white purse.

I couldn't find much info on this bag online. I did find this one on eBay, which seemed pretty helpful since it shows the original paperwork. I am wondering if mine is authentic and when this bag was made. Does the '1' in the serial number mean it's from 2001? Is the quality probably lesser since it was made for the Factory. Thanks!

I don't see any problems. The bag was made in 2001. Why do you say it was made for the Factory?

This is not the first time in recent history that ebay removed perfectly good earlier vintage Coach bags,
it's ridiculous!!

I don't understand why they pulled it especially because
it takes more than one report for a listing to get pulled.
Something strange is going on..a little while back someone posted here that
their pre-creed or pre-serial number bags were pulled as well.

Hate to say it but legit sellers are almost better off NOT posting the creeds
because then it's harder to report it as fake!
Is that what we have to do to protect our seller accounts??

Thanks, I really appreciate the reply. I thought it was made for the Factory because it has 'F' in the serial number. Now I realize I may have been wrong to assume that. And it has the bulls-eye, but I seem to remember reading that retail bags can be stamped with that for various reasons.
