Please post authenticity questions related to COACH in this thread. No PMs please.

Please follow the following requests:
  • Before you submit a request for authentication, please search this thread to make sure that the item has not previously been authenticated by searching the seller ID and/or item number. This is not a thread to ask general questions about COACH, please refer to our main Coach forum for such information.
  • Note that authenticators have the right to refuse any requests. This is a free service, but it is imperative that you help our authenticators by using the following format:
  • FOR ITEMS LISTED ONLINE:

BASIC PICTURES REQUIRED (but more may be requested): If necessary pictures are in the listing, it's not necessary to upload and duplicate them.
  • Front of item
  • Back of item
  • Full clear and legible creed text and serial number
  • Made in tags (when available)
  • Measurements
  • For bags with turnlock closures, show pictures of back of female side of turnlock
  • For bags with magnetic snaps, show pictures of the male part of the snap so that the numbers and letters on it can be read
  • If applicable, search interior of bag and/or pockets for small white tag with production information and include a picture of that.

Something strange is going on..a little while back someone posted here that
their pre-creed or pre-serial number bags were pulled as well.

Hate to say it but legit sellers are almost better off NOT posting the creeds
because then it's harder to report it as fake!
Is that what we have to do to protect our seller accounts??

What's going on? The decisions being made at Ebay are being made by morons, that's what's going on - and even more than usual.

That's one BIG reason why I don't sell on Ebay and never will. My heart goes out to all the sellers who have gotten royally screwed by them. If it can be proved that Ebay is removing genuine bags because of false reports OR because some freakin' BOZO is calling the shots after reading and BELIEVING some of the most inaccurate "authenticity guides" posted there, I hope the sellers band together and not only report it to the people at Auctionbytes, but get together and file a class-action suit against Ebay. Wishful thinking, but I can dream, can't I?

Just purchased this and wanted to run it by just in case, it's the picture of the stitch line running through the strap that makes me wonder. Are all the straps in this line pieced together in the middle?

There's another one by a different seller in a different color but without the bullet in the creed tag but that's not in my price range $199 but FYI, the link below. This one doesn't show the inside of the strap so its hard to tell if its pieced together as well.

I have several Coaches with the same kind of strap seam, the bag is genuine and it's not a problem.

:ty: it's so easy to forget to authenticate when the prices are good and I'm on a vintage buying frenzy. I didn't even know the Sonoma line or "made in Italy" Coach until I started reading the posts by you and Whateve - better late than never I guess.

Unfortunately, that seller was the same poster whose briefcase was removed this time!

Sorry--I was trying to put this as an add-on to my earlier post and hit the wrong button--now I don't see an option to delete this. I am working on the assumption that it is authentic, but the leather feels slightly off--almost like it was washed.
