Please post authenticity questions related to COACH in this thread. No PMs please.

Please follow the following requests:
  • Before you submit a request for authentication, please search this thread to make sure that the item has not previously been authenticated by searching the seller ID and/or item number. This is not a thread to ask general questions about COACH, please refer to our main Coach forum for such information.
  • Note that authenticators have the right to refuse any requests. This is a free service, but it is imperative that you help our authenticators by using the following format:

BASIC PICTURES REQUIRED (but more may be requested): If necessary pictures are in the listing, it's not necessary to upload and duplicate them.

  • Full clear and legible creed text and serial number
  • Made in tags (when available)
  • Measurements
  • For bags with turnlock closures, show pictures of back of female side of turnlock
  • For bags with magnetic snaps, show pictures of the male part of the snap so that the numbers and letters on it can be read
  • If applicable, search interior of bag and/or pockets for small white tag with production information and include a picture of that.

Both are authentic. (I'll try to come back with style numbers.)

Be careful with that particular patchwork pattern; it's commonly faked so it's best to ask before buying.

The wallet is style 7875.

The wristlet is style 7765.

Authentic, not a basic bag. It's the bigger companion bag from around 1989.

Please wait for confirmation on authenticity. I think the bag is okay but i don't recommend the seller.

Thanks for this. I will start checking before I buy for sure. I was traveling and while it was easy to buy, it was hard to get access to do much else on the internets. Thanks again for your help.

This is my first burn, so I won't complain too much. If you have time, can you tell me what to look for on the Willis? I was so excited about that one too. :(. I seriously won't be a buyer mcbuyerpants without authenticating first.

I hope you can get your money back. The seller shouldn't be rewarded for selling fakes. First of all, the padding above the turnlock is crooked and doesn't come close enough to the top of the turnlock. The scraping on the leather shows pink underneath; real Coach leather is dyed all the way through so the scrapes would be close the burgundy color. The inside zipper pull should be a chain.

There might be other problems that I can't see in the pictures. I can't read the creed or see the inside of the turnlock and the ends of the dowel.

That is all very helpful. I will look at all those things again when I get home (still at work) so I will know better what to look for next time. Would you mind if I send you other pictures of the turnlock and creed so you can spot more discrepancies?
