HIYA!
So I did a little bit of sleuthing and I found a few interesting things that might
show evidence possibly that the B plant was still being used in 2002....

First is another Willis bag with serial G2B-9927...also black with nickel hardware.
All details look good too and this would have been made in 2002.

Then I found a messenger bag with serial no. D2B-9821, also from 2002.
I think you would agree that this looks authentic. I don't seem to remember ever seeing
this lining faked.

Just food for thought, and the search continues!!

I too have found many authentic bags with B codes from 2002 but I can't find a single one with *3B.

Thanks to both of you, those pictures are a big help, especially the small #9821 (I still don't have a name for that style, maybe some kind of Legacy West Bag?) especially since there's a part of an outlet stamp visible on the creed. That means the B plant (which I think was the code originally given to the Miami plant but heaven only knows where it ended up) was still operating at least thru July 2002.

The Willis with the 2003 MAY be genuine, it's possible that the last few leather bags made in the US were stamped with creeds and serials thrown together and left over from other plants, like we've seen with some H and A plant codes. Compare the three below, the first one is the Willis, and I agree that the bag itself looks perfect even down to the shape of the padded area above the turnlock which the crooks almost always get wrong. But look at the Coach logo at the top of the creed, it's using the old "fat" font that Coach hadn't used for years. So if it;s genuine, the creed was slapped together with leftover parts. The D2B-9821 serial number stamp also has a few tiny differences from the other two but again, they may have used whatever was available at the time.

Comments:
Hi. I searched the current thread and previous ones and couldn't find anything on this one. I believe this color - Tuberose - was an Asian Exclusive which is also noted in the listing. But haven't seen them pop up much so wanted to double check. Especially since there is no price tag attached to at least state Tuberose vs. Desert Rose.

TIA - appreciate your help!

Additional Info: Seller says cousin purchased it at airport in Japan. Found this color in spring 2012 preview thread but creed looks like made in September 2013?

I apologize for reposting - but I would feel more comfortable with an expert opinion due to the date of manufacture. If there is a thread or somewhere else I could locate this information please let me know. Thanks again!

Thanks much Hyacinth and BB!
AT least it does give us indication that the plant was still operating even sporadically for some time after 2000,
and it's great that you continue to investigate!

It's hard to find bags from a certain factory on the internet because most people don't put the whole
serial number into their titles.
If anyone has any early 2000+ B plant bags it would be nice if they could upload pics as well for comparison.

LATER!
