Good evening, Hyacinth! Thanks for responding. Sorry for not including measurements in my original request. My bag measures 9x7x3 inches. From your info, I was able to find a post of Cameochi's Dakota collection. With my smaller bag size & piping on the lower front, looks like it could be the similar Dakota Rider?

Thanks again! Your time is greatly appreciated!

You're right, it's a Rider, style 4200. The two styles look almost identical. The catalog pic in my files is of a red one and the bottom piping in the photo is almost invisible.

The Court Bag looks ok.

The Willis worries me. The plant code looks like a B and AFAIK, the B plant stopped making bags in 2000 and was probably permanently closed that year as Coach relocated production to China. From what I've seen, a D3B- prefix shouldn't exist. I'd have to call it Questionable at least. On the off-chance that the year code was an 8 and not a 3, I checked my photos of *8B- prefixes and there are small differences in the creed stamp there too.
Thanks Hyacinth!

The year code is definitely a "3".

I have a few of these and compared every
single detail and it's exactly the same, so I am having a hard
time accepting that it might be fake.

I won't sell it of course but I can't put it in the junk pile yet.
I do trust your opinion 100%
but my investigative mind wants to try to dig around some more!
Since you say it is questionable,
I'm going to check around for more B factory bags and see if I can find anything else.
THANK YOU!

HIYA!
So I did a little bit of sleuthing and I found a few interesting things that might
show evidence possibly that the B plant was still being used in 2002....

First is another Willis bag with serial G2B-9927...also black with nickel hardware.
All details look good too and this would have been made in 2002.

Then I found a messenger bag with serial no. D2B-9821, also from 2002.
I think you would agree that this looks authentic. I don't seem to remember ever seeing
this lining faked.

Just food for thought, and the search continues!!

I too have found many authentic bags with B codes from 2002 but I can't find a single one with *3B.
