Lucky charms key chain? Unsure of name/style number
Seller: jos558
I won the auction for this keychain. Just wanting to make sure it’s authentic, and wondering what kind of leather it is if so. Any insight would be greatly appreciated! I’ve added a couple of additional pictures of it now that it is in my possession. Thanks in advance!

Genuine, style 1K01 from late 2005. Coach just lists it as "Exotic Lucky Coach Charms Keyfob" but there's nothing explaining what makes it exotic. I don'r recognise the leather pattern or grain at all, it looks more like embossed leather than any natural grain.

ETA - I just checked one that I own with the same type of leather charms and they're definitely just embossed leather, not any kind of scale from a reptile. The closest scale shape I've seen is iguana and this isn't the correct pattern.

Seller dan_ginza

I'm not comfortable recommending Japanese sellers with highly faked styles. I've been seeing a proliferation of fairly new and low feedback sellers out of Japan who appear to be part of a ring with scarily closely faked items. (There's a thread here on the Coach subforum warning about the problem.)

I'm not convinced that the pictures shown (or at least several of them) are the seller's own pictures of the actual item.

Additionally, many of the seller's feedbacks were for private listings, preventing us from seeing what was sold.

I'm also not comfortable with seller, fasiontree.

Although the seller claims the item is located in Australia, I found a listing claiming a Netherlands location that uses the same pictures.

Seller also has several negative feedbacks (just in past 12 months) accusing her of selling fakes.
