Thank you! I found this bag and was surprised to see the same serial number as mine, aren't they supposed to be unique?

Coach hasn't used unique-to-each-bag serial numbers saince 1993. Wherever you heard or read that, please ignore it and any other information from the same source, unless you just misremembered it. Even then, 99 percent of internet sources are grossly undependable, especially if they're posting bogus information that hasn't been true for 27 YEARS. Hi all, may I please trouble you to authenticate the following:

Item: Coach Carnival Bag 9925 sold by coachcrossing on Etsy
Link: https://www.etsy.com/sg-en/listing/...f=sr_gallery-1-2&organic_search_click=1&cns=1
Comments: The detail at the clasp looks different from what I saw on a catalog. Also the creed looks a bit off to me. I'm still quite new to vintage Coach though so these are just a few areas I thought looked a bit off.

Item: Coach Swinger Bag sold by PerfectYesterdays on Etsy
Link: https://www.etsy.com/sg-en/listing/...=sr_gallery-1-48&organic_search_click=1&cns=1
Comments: I think it's a really cute bag. Not sure if I can ask but how lightweight is the leather from the lightweights collection? Am thinking of getting a bigger one for work if it's truly light and sturdy.

Item: Coach Lewiston 9931 sold by SenseAppealUnlimited on Etsy
Link: https://www.etsy.com/sg-en/listing/...2cf2a6297739b09e24d74a27c5eabf6b74e:712174018

Many thanks in advance!

Many thanks in advance!
1. fake
2. authentic. The lightweight leather is about half as thick as the classic vintage leather. The thinness and softness allows it to smoosh more. It might stretch out if it is used to hold heavy items. The color on these tends to fade quicker, although this one looks to be in excellent condition.
3. authentic.

Thank you and I'm so happy to have spotted my first fake! All those hours of lurking here have paid off :smartass:And thank you for the detailed answer to point 2. i'll think on the Swinger but definitely getting the Lewiston (my first old 80s Coach acquisition!)

Dear wise people,
I like my Chester so much that I might gift myself another one for my birthday.
But only after getting a go from you of course, so if you could take a look, I'd appreciate it.
Item: Chester
Item number: 254589921272
Seller: bjnrbweaver

Comments: I've asked for a pic in natural light, but if you could weigh in on whether or not that is Bordeaux, that'd be great.
Thanks a ton, as always!

Hope everyone is having a great day! When you have time, I'd appreciate your thoughts on this lunchbox zip from GW online. I'm mainly interested in your take on the last photo showing the top of the handle because I was comparing it to shots Hyacinth posted in February (https://forum.purseblog.com/threads...ost-for-format.889527/page-3070#post-33616906) and couldn't really make up my mind if it matched the genuine or didn't.

It doesn't worry me if the top handle isn't quite as flared in the center as we've seen on other examples. Details like that, and turnlock backs and other "sometimes fake" indicators shouldn't be used as proof that something's fake. The most important authenticating detail is almost always the creed and serial number stamping, and this one looks good.

It's genuine, late 1980s.

It might be Burgundy. As I've mentioned before, I don't don't like guessing colors especially since we can't pin down an exact year and season when it was made. I don't remember Bordeaux being a late 1980s color but I could be wrong.
