The creed looks good, but does it really have nickel hardware? I don't recall them ever using nickel hardware with brown. Could it be currant?

Hi, Im new to TPF. I was hoping someone could help me authenticate a vintage coach bag I purchased off ebay. Based on the creed and serial number, it seems to be from the 1980s. Im questioning the authenticity because its in excellent condition- literally looks brand new and Im worried it could be a fake. I dont have much experience with vintage coach so Id appreciate the help! It is a pocket penny purse. Ive attached pictures

The link to the ebay sale and the sellers name is the other information that the Authenticators need as well.

And the seller is: missmommyx3
It's authentic. There is no such thing as a pocket penny purse. It's a pocket purse 9755 made in the early 90s. It is unusual but not unheard of for a vintage item to have little wear. Some people do take good care of their things. I find it more often in smaller bags since they are often too small to be an every day bag for most people.

You're right. It's fake.

ETA: Let us know how mercari handles it.
NM, It's that inaccurate vintagecoachbags "authenticity guide" she used to "prove" authenticity.

We've discussed that guide! There are many mistakes.

ETA: Here are some of the posts concerning the guide, "vintagecoachbags."
