I would appreciate if someone could help me authenticate this Coach Essex bag. I purchased this from an estate -- no other purses/bags from the estate were later than the 1980s, but most were 1950s/60s/70s. All of the clothes were 1970s and before. The owner of the home was a mother and daughter -- the father died in 1975; the mother was in her 90s in the 1990s, and the daughter was in her 70s in the 1990s. The house had been vacant since the daughter died around 4 years ago. All of the furniture in the home was from the 50s/60s; there were stacks of magazines from the 60s/70s/80s. The father was a dean at Duke University before he retired in 1974, then died in 1975. The bag measures 16" wide x 11.5" tall x 3-4" deep, with the strap around 41 - 42" long at its longest. I tried to do some research, and the creed seems to match a 1970s creed, but the serial number seems like a 1990s serial number. The style number does seem to be for an Essex bag. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

It's authentic. It was made in 1995. The old creed wording was used on some creeds through 1995, and in rare cases, through 1996. It is an Essex briefcase.

Hello.
This is a ask for help from Beenburned. I saw an old thread on Ebay advice posted a few years ago by BeenBurned and not sure if it is still active. So if I posted at the wrong thread, please redirect me to the correct one.
I recently purchased a vintage Fendi bag from Ebay, when I received it, noticed a few small tears that was not mentioned. Seller agreed to refund me once he received the bag. I posted by recorded delivery. Bag was received by the seller today and he even relisted it straight away with new pictures of the small tears. However after several email communications, he claimed that he is struggling to cope with technology and does not know how to refund me. I even sent him the help link so Ebay can guide him step my step. He has over 200 reviews and been selling on Ebay for a while.
I never sold anything on Ebay so not sure how complicated the refund process is.
I know seller has 7 days to refund, do I take the case up with Ebay if he still not refund me?
Many thanks in advance xxx

I'm not Beenburned but I think I can help. Open up a return request on ebay. Choose as your reason, not as described. Leave the return open until you receive your refund. If the seller doesn't refund by the time you are allowed to escalate, escalate the claim.
I'm late to the party but want to add another suggestion when you open the SNAD case. Include a statement saying that you already returned the item to the seller with tracking number ____(fill in blank with tracking #____ and it was delivered to the seller on (date/time).

Hello ladies, could you please authenticate this one? I think it is a city bag. Thanks!

Seller yusraos

I can't read the creed but what I'm seeing doesn't fill me with confidence. I think it is probably fake.

Here is a better picture of the creed:

Yep, it's fake.
The seller was very reasonable in answering your requests and waiting to ship until you confirmed authenticity. So why wouldn't you tell the seller why you're cancelling? That way, if she knows it's fake and if she's an honest seller, she won't relist it.

Please authenticate. Thank you!!
