Please follow the following requests:
  • Before you submit a request for authentication, please search this thread to make sure that the item has not previously been authenticated by searching the seller ID and/or item number.   • Note that authenticators have the right to refuse any requests. This is a free service, but it is imperative that you help our authenticators by using the following format:

BASIC PICTURES REQUIRED (but more may be requested): If necessary pictures are in the listing, it's not necessary to upload and duplicate them.
  • Front of item
  • Back of item
  • Full clear and legible creed text and serial number
  • Made in tags (when available)
  • Measurements
  • For bags with turnlock closures, show pictures of back of female side of turnlock
  • For bags with magnetic snaps, show pictures of the male part of the snap so that the numbers and letters on it can be read
  • If applicable, search interior of bag and/or pockets for small white tag with production information and include a picture of that.

It's VERY hard to authenticate wallets, sinjce most of them don't have any creed stamps that we can examine for details. Coach also made dozens of versions of this vertical style and many of them were for the outlets so we have no records of them. I have a few in that vertical design but they're all leather so that's not much help.

Sorry I can't give a definitive answer one way or the other.

It's a genuine Escort Bag from the Lightweight line, probably from 1990-91, style number 4016
CORRECTION - It's a genuine Tailored Pouch, 4110 - Sorry, and a big THANK YOU to Whateve for catching my mistake.

Thank you again, I should have gone 2 more pages into my catalog before posting, see my correction above.

Here's the specs on each from the Spring 1990 paper catalog. Just looking at the book, the only apparent difference other than a slight difference in measurements is that the 4016 Escort Bag has a GUSSETED front underflap pocket, while the Tailored Pouch 4110, being more tailored I suppose, has the flat underflap pocket shown in the listing.

4016 Escort Bag, introduced Spring 1990 catalog - gusseted front pocket, leather-lined flap, mag snap closure, "extended pocket and full gusset anchor for reinforcement" (whatever the heck that means), full inside zipper pocket, Adjusable 41: shoulder strap.11x9x2 3/4. $188, taupe, black, blue, cocoa, honey.

4110 Tailored Pouch, intro maybe 1989?. leather lined flap, fully anchored gusset and hidden mag closure, front pocket, inside zipper pocket, adjustable 44" strap. 9x7 1/2x3, available all 9 Lightweight line colors. $148 Spring 1990

Hello.
This is a ask for help from Beenburned. I saw an old thread on Ebay advice posted a few years ago by BeenBurned and not sure if it is still active. So if I posted at the wrong thread, please redirect me to the correct one.
I recently purchased a vintage Fendi bag from Ebay, when I received it, noticed a few small tears that was not mentioned. Seller agreed to refund me once he received the bag. I posted by recorded delivery. Bag was received by the seller today and he even relisted it straight away with new pictures of the small tears. However after several email communications, he claimed that he is struggling to cope with technology and does not know how to refund me. I even sent him the help link so Ebay can guide him step my step. He has over 200 reviews and been selling on Ebay for a while.
I never sold anything on Ebay so not sure how complicated the refund process is.
I know seller has 7 days to refund, do I take the case up with Ebay if he still not refund me?

I'm not Beenburned but I think I can help. Open up a return request on ebay. Choose as your reason, not as described. Leave the return open until you receive your refund. If the seller doesn't refund by the time you are allowed to escalate, escalate the claim.
