Thanks a lot Whateve..I was sure it was fake but wanted an expert opinion to back me up,
and another pair of eyes to spot something I missed entirely..the under flap pocket! And BTW..I didn't even mention the fact to her she listed it as NWT when it obviously was well used!:smile1:
You're welcome! I find that when people lie about one thing, they often have no qualms about lying about other things.

I've got an open case against a seller that also lied about an item being NWT. She also cheated the post office when she bought her shipping label, paying for 1 pound then shipping it in a medium flat rate box. At least it is authentic!

This one is interesting too. It doesn't say it was a sample and it does have a serial number.

Can you read the style number from the creed?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/COACH-BLACK...D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

I wonder if they purposely make the pictures unenlargeable.

I can't read it but it doesn't look like 28007, like this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Coach-Bleec...670?pt=US_CSA_WH_Handbags&hash=item2a492b53ae
It was made over a year earlier.

Hi !
Please authenticate these 2 bags (and
3rd one in next posting.)
They came from a group of four. One is fine (pink suede),
these two I think are okay and the fourth (green) is NG
but I would like your confirmation in case the seller gives me a hard time.

3. Green whatever? LA8-4140
Auction #161534088000

It's probably not reportable without a creed photo but aside from the invalid prefix, there's no way that Kiwi-colored bag is a style 4140, that belongs to a Lafayette Bag that's almost twice the size of the small bag in the pics and wouldn't have a turnlock either. Turnlocks on bags with Soho or Lightweight line style numbers are usually a big red flag.

ETA - Just saw the extra photos - complete FAKE. Get your money back ASAP. The two black ones look ok.

I'm sure they purposely make the pictures too small so we can't see the details.

It's C1273-followed by what looks like 5 UPSIDE-DOWN 8s.

I'm going to go with Questionable at least on that one. If it's an actual sample there's no way to prove it

It looks fine. It should look better after conditioning. It is possible that it had been treated with something, like shoe polish, and you washed some of it away.

That isn't what we mean by elephant skin. The leather has wrinkles, like an elephant, and isn't the correct texture for high quality leather.

OK thanks WhatEve!

I'll go to the rehab thread with it since you have said it is fine. It has two big "L" shapes on it that didn't come off in the bath. There could have been shoe polish on it. It lightened up a lot.

It looks the same as the white one to me - 88888

We've seen other supposedly sample bags with style numbers 88888 or 99999.

It doesn't seem believable that they would use croc embossed leather for the creed. Most, if not all, croc embossed bags have plain leather creeds, just like the bag on ebay that is authentic.
