Just out of sheer curiousity, how badly does this scream fake? Or is there truly a style number is 2005 like that?

Of course I'm no authenticator but I think you have to get your ears checked lol....you are finding a lot of authentic bags screaming fake.
I for one am really glad you found this forum cuz you would be in trouble without these gals!
Seriously all in good fun:giggles:
It doesn't scream fake AT ALL! That bag is absolutely authentic!

Well, there are bags that are so fake I don't truly need to get confirmation. There is a certain lining that comes up constantly on fake bags and the 'I' in the first part of the serial #.
You really need to read Hyacinth's and Salearea's guides! You're assuming several "always" and "never" rules that with Coach, DO NOT EXIST!! You have INCORRECT information that you're using to determine that a bag "so fake that you don't truly need condirmation."

While it's true that Coach never uses the thin gold silky signature lining, they do use some signature linings.

As for certain formatting and characters in serial numbers, the guides say that they usually don't use I or N but there are cases where they've been used.

This creed is on a bag I own and I guarantee that this bag is absolutely authentic! It has an I as the month code.

Why is the creed for this bag so much different than the others?

Exact same bag:http://m.ebay.com/itm/271835626194

White:http://m.ebay.com/itm/390412096484

Except for the color and about a millimeter difference in placement, I don't see any differences.
I'm not sure what differences you're seeing either. The patch colors are different because the bags are different colors but both are stamped in gold although the white bag's gold may possibly be rubbing off a bit.

When making comparisons, you need to compare apples to apples. Some styles have creeds with script text and others have non-scripts. Some have creeds with gold and others have just imprinted into the leather. You can't compare the details on a bag with printed text to a different style of bag with a different creed.

I read that any bag with 9363 is suspect so I thought I'd ask the very knowledgeable ladies of this forum. This is not an auction item. Thank you for any help to authenticate this bag :smile1:

It's fine.
The seller added the creed to the original eBay listing. Please refer back to the link above if the picture doesn't appear here. Thanks

Please simply ask for authentications without comments. You are a newly registered user. People read this forum and might think that bag is fake. It is authentic. Baiting posts like this damage sellers. Sit back and read. Guess in your mind why an item is real or fake and then wait for the authenticators to do their work.

There is a reason why the forum has a standard posting guideline for authentications. Comments aren't necessary.

AMEN!!

For SEM1CHARMED

Ebay sellers can also report buyers and other ebay members that harass them . You may personally not want to SELL on ebay, but you may not be allowed to BUY either. I would report you to ebay if you dissed my listings or made comments like you have on TPF, without having any factual basis for your comments!!
Thousands of people READ this Forum..they may skim it & get the impression that the listings you have questioned or the sellers you have mentioned are dishonest....
or liars..
DEF, NOT COOL!!
My 3 cents... and I jest not.

Well, there are bags that are so fake I don't truly need to get confirmation. There is a certain lining that comes up constantly on fake bags and the 'I' in the first part of the serial #. I saw one that was 'W###-####" that's not fake, really? The girl bought it at a flea market. I see the hall of shame and a lot of the bags there, I've already stumbled across;

I'm not worried about someone getting my information. Why? Because when I buy something on eBay my name, address, phone number are all right there.

And as far as selling on eBay, I will NEVER, waste my time again selling on eBay. I did it years ago and after a substantial loss I will never do it again, for any reason.
Sem1charmed, understand that no one is criticizing you for authenticating items prior to purchase. Since you are buying a lot of Coach, it's commendable that you're doing your due diligence.

The problem lies in your editorial comments and opinions that can negatively impact a seller's reputation.

In fact, although the authenticators on AT Coach are pretty lenient and do offer advice and chat (unlike a lot of other brands), the types of comments you've made are precisely why many of the other AT threads stand by their "no chat" simple authentications.

OTOH, once a bag is deemed as fake, feel free to post that seller ID and listing on the Hall of Shame thread where the semi-disparaging comments would be welcome. Those are sellers whose listings have been determined to be fake and there's no problem commenting there!

Hi everyone and happy spring!

These are my finds over the last couple of months.

The creed on this backpack has a very shallow stamping. It says made in the United States, but can't make out any numbers (if any). Measurements are about 9" tall x 7 wide x 5 deep. I have real doubts that it is authentic, but if it is what is the style name?:

The second one also says made in the USA, just checking on that "H" where I thought the first three letters of the alphabet would be. This one is a little harder to measure with the rounded bottom.. plus or minus 12" tall x 9 wide x 5 deep. I really hope this one is good. love the color!:

#3 says Coach Letaherware USA with all numbers. If this is authentic, what style would it be? 10 tall x 12 wide along the top x 4 1/2 deep:

Lastly is is this crossbody "made in Turkey C8I-5130". 9.5 tall x 8.75 wide x 2 deep:
