Thank you and be safe!

I just want to thank all the authenticators for their hard work. Like Sem1charmed, I was overwhelmed with all the information about authentic Coaches when I first started reading the forum. I like to guess at an authenticity question before reading the opinions and I am getting pretty good at guessing however, some bags are pretty good fakes. I once bought a fake Patricia that looked well made.

Ok, it's what I thought, a Monterey Hobo. Notice the shape when it's stuffed, how it's almost square at the base but then narrows and widens out at the top if that makes any sense. Any time a bag or other item has any distinctive shape or details, it helps to see those.

Remember, when we're trying to ID a bag we might only have one or two catalog or website pictures from Coach to compare it to, and the more you can make it look like it does in those pictures (upright, and straight on or turned between 30 and 45 degrees, and stuffed to show the actual shape) the easier it is for us to find it in our files.

Compare it to Coach's catalog picture below to see the difference

Ok, I totally see the shape of the bag having it stuffed instead of laying there all deflated. LOL. I will keep that in mind in the future ! Thank you very much, Hyacinth! :smile1:

an additional attached photo from the seller with the creed inside. Should i be concerned that about the "limited edition" and no country of origin in the creed?

Thanks so much!

sorry, major edit...

It's not the remake done for Net-A-Porter, sorry, it looks like a limited run from the Coach Originals line in 2012 through Coach themselves. I didn't pay much attention to all the different versions of older bags that Coach was making at the time, maybe there's some information here:

Wait for more opinions.

There should be a small white tag inside the purse showing the country of origin. I'm surprised the style number is only 4 digits though, I would have expected a zero to be in front of the 9525. Again, I've never seen any of the newer remakes IRL or paid attention to how they were tagged or stamped, so please wait for someone who has.

Ditto to what oldbaglover said! When someone posts for authentication I try to figure it out, as well. I am learning, slowly. But when it comes to buying one, I want outside opinions! LOL! Thanks!

You have to understand that most of the time we don't go into every single detail of why something's wrong. Fakes makers, distributors and sellers read these boards too and we're not about to hand them a blueprint on how to correct the mistakes they're making that identify their garbage as fake.

We don't want members to take chances and start self-authenticating, that's a good way to make some bad mistakes, and some members have done just that. It's like the old saying, "A little knowledge is a dangerous thing".

When buying or selling, let the experts take a look, it's so much safer than trying to figure it out for yourself without the benefit of all the information, details and photos we have in our files. Trying to figure it out on your own can be a fun challenge, just remember not to go any further without solid confirmation.

It doesn't scream fake AT ALL! That bag is absolutely authentic!

I just wanted to CLARIFY my response to this initial posting....
I was letting the poster know that she is finding fault in a lot of
TRULY AUTHENTIC handbags, ( including this one )~

After reading back her response to me I think she might have felt I was AGREEING with her.
NO NO NO!! :nogood:
I was inferring that her authenticating skills are sorely lacking and she should keep
using this forum.

Also it was a wonderful suggestion posted later on that she does NOT state her
opinion, just merely ASK, because it can be very confusing to some of the other people
reading this forum.

I sure hope I did not add to that confusion!!:wondering

I've seen several like this (same year) without the extra zero and "limited edition" in the creed as well as no country of manufacture. It looks authentic.

Thank you both for your comments. It is very nice to be appreciated. It is always helpful to get another opinion and very easy to get fooled.

I knew what you meant, even if she didn't, and I appreciate your support.

There is a big difference between stating something like "there is no way this can be real" and "I'm worried about..." and then going on to state your concerns.
