I want to keep reminding everyone here that we have a copy of both parts of the Daria48 Coach Fake Numbers List posted right here in the Coach Shopping forum and Pinned right to the top, in the same thread as the Salearea Guides and posted right behind them. It takes just a few minutes to check the List!
https://forum.purseblog.com/threads/salearea-guides.983575/page-3#post-33239557

Obviously not every fake number will be on the List but if I didn't think that it would be worth someone's time to check it before bidding or buying, I wouldn't have posted it.

And if searching the List isn't convenient, a simple Google search for "Coach 0444-315" would have brought up dozens of links and photos with similar information.
https://www.google.com/search?q=coach+0444-315&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8

Even a quick glance at the dozen photos of totally different bags with the same all-numeric serial number at the top of the Google Search results should be a red flag. And there are Google links to posts right here at tPF going back to 2009 stating that that number is fake.

Using tPF's own Search link would have pointed in the same direction, with 72 posts about that number going back to 2008
https://forum.purseblog.com/search/10643248/?q=0444-315&t=post&o=date&c[node]=29+284+114+113+129:

Besides the known fake serial number, there are other problems with that bag too.

I REALLY hope you're not the buyer.
My daughter bought it before I could have it authenticated, she really wants that style but can’t afford a new one from Coach. At least the seller cancelled.

@Hyacinth Thank you for the heads up about Poshmark! I'm also totally new to buying vintage coach, is there a thread where we can talk about things like whether a bag is a good deal?

We're not allowed to comment on prices in this authentication thread, I'm not sure about the rest of the Coach forums. The Vintage Coach Photos and Chat thread will sometimes have some comments if something is grossly overpriced, but usually we let the buyer decide if something is worth what s/he is paying for it. There are no set values on vintage handbags, so it has to be a personal decision by the purchaser. It's especially important to look at sellers' descriptions and photos very carefully. If we notice a problem with them we'll usually mention it, but the buyer always needs to be careful.

Thank heaven for that! She should consider becoming a member here if she isn't one already so she has full-time access to the authentication forums.

ETA - You also said "I told her about the other ones but will go back and refer her to the forum". Since we don't have any way of knowing how honest a seller is, we often don't mention exact details about other problems we've noticed. There have been too many times when a dishonest seller uses that information to delete or modify the photos in her listings that are showing the other problem areas.

There isn't a picture of the creed at all so probably no way to tell, but I'm HOPING this bag is fake...

Hand painted coach bag
Seller: reseller7980

(For only $365!)

It's, ummmmmmm ...

It's ...

It's ...

Stunning?

(And it's too soon after supper to have to look at something like that. Poor Coach! But at least it's not a vintage one, if it's genuine at all.)

Perfect adjective! It certainly did stun me!

Yes, it epitomises "stunning", just like this does:

I'm going to leave the entire set of clips up because we all need a good giggle these days, apologies to anyone offended by silly sophomoric British humour. Just hit Pause or reload the tPF page to stop the clips. Otherwise - ENJOY!
