Hello,

Please authenticate this Coach wallet. Also, if you could tell me the name of the wallet and approximately when it was made. There are no tags on the bag. Thank you.

It looks okay. It's a passport case. I think it was made in the early 2000s. Did you look inside the pockets to see if it shows where it was made?

I was trying on clothes once. A woman who was showing a man what she tried on and he said, "That looks like something a 40 year old grandma would wear!"

I didn't see him but I wondered how young he was to think that grandmas were usually 40 years old.
A girl from my HS class became a grandmother this year, she’s a few months older than me, but had her baby our junior year and will turn 40 this year.

It's a Brighton Bag style #9895. Here's a 1991 catalog shot:

Great choice, that's the one I would have picked if I had to choose!

Thank you for the identification! I'm always amazed by the knowledge of the people on this forum. And I'm glad other people are pleased with my choice too! :)

I'm glad you bought this one -- I was hoping you would snag it when I saw it in the background of your initial auth request!
I was wondering if anyone would notice the bag in the background, haha! I'm really glad I found this one and took the chance. I also love that this thread has started to help me be a little more confident in my thrift store searches as I learn more.

I would have bought both bags!

I'm brand new here. Can someone please help with accurate details surrounding this gorgeous bag I found during a thrift? I know its authentic, but I cannot find out when it was made and the actual style name. It's so nice! I'm excited about getting it cleaned up. View attachment 4687024 View attachment 4687025
Welcome to the forum. It's not from the Cashin era. It is a courier pouch made after Bonnie Cashin left Coach. It was made some time between 1978 and 1988. There were two sizes. I'm not sure which size yours is.

I almost did! But since I wasn't as sure about the Brighton, I only wanted to take the chance on one. That being said, I'm considering going back to get it... I even have one more half-off coupon left so it'd only be about $20... (I got the Lulu for $19!)

(Then again I'm also ah, amassing bags and rehab projects quite quickly. So far I've acquired the legacy wristlet, the suede swingpack, the wooster, a Dooney, and this Lulu, and that's just from thrift stores in the last two weeks!)

Hello,

Could you please authenticate this bag for me? I think the name is Hippie Flap Saddle. I know it was made in 2003 but did the US have a plant 'H'? Thank you.

Thank you! There is so much misinformation! Googling creed numbers don't give you any specific data. I had SEVERAL people tell me it was specifically from the Cashin era. I knew it was vintage due to age but really wanted all the accurate details.

Sorry, it's fake. There WAS an "H" plant but it was closed early in 1998. Any H plant codes after January 1998 (A8H- serial prefixes) are likely to be fake. The K3H- serial font is also much too large. That prefix shows up in a LOT of fakes and is ALWAYS fake, no exceptions..

For future reference, please read the Salearea Coach Guides posted here if you haven't already. Also in the same thread are Parts 1 and 2 of the Daria48 Fake Coach Numbers List, which mentions the K3H- fake numbers as well as many others. Please be sure to read the entire thread since it also incluces recent updates and corrections to both Guides. It's easy to find and is Pinned to the top of every index page in the Coach Shopping forum.

https://forum.purseblog.com/threads/salearea-guides.983575/

Both sets of Guides are probably the most accurate available on the subject and both have been checked and updated within the last 2 years, which makes them 10 to 15 years more recent than almost all other so-called authenticity Guides on the internet. All the other Coach fake numbers lists on the 'net are just unauthorized copies of the Daria48 list which I think was first posted at Ebay some time around 2006-07.
