I know that authenticating these is a bit more difficult and the photos are not great but I'm looking for extra hangtags to pretty up bags with none so would appreciate any opinion on these.

There are some definite fakes in dgrunberg69's listing. Others seem okay and some other may be genuine or fake; it's hard to tell. There are 2 definite fakes and I believe the others are okay.

This is easier.

The teal and white Handbag charm and the large dogleash clip at the right side of the bottom row are both definitely fake (NEVER trust any dogleash clips that have the Coach name stamped on them, especially in that font!). The two tan color suede hangtags in the top row towards the right are questionable. Other posters might spot more. There just isn't enough detail shown in the photos to pin down the rest.

Thank you both Beenburned and Hyacinth...getting extra opiinions is great.
Think I might leave this listing and keep looking.
Send a message to the seller re fakes or report the whole listing?

It's my first time here and am hoping someone could help me authenticate this Coach. I'm really looking for a COach Kelsey in purple but it's not available in the stores here in the Philippines anymore, so I checked out online auction sites. However, I'm a bit doubtful since fakes are all around. Hope someone could help..

AUTHENTICATE This COACH

Please post authenticity questions related to COACH in this thread.

Note: The PurseForum requests that only members with an extensive knowledge of the brand and authenticating who have over 500 posts participate as authenticators in this AT thread. The moderators reserve the right to remove authentications that do not meet these requirements.

Please follow the following rules:

  • If the bag in question is not on an auction site, please use the following:

Item Name (if you know it):
    Link (if available):
Then attach any photos (all authentication must include photos.)
    • Please be sure to include a clear readable photo of the creed stamp and serial number from inside the bag or accessory if there is one, and the bag's measurements when the bag is an older or vintage leather Coach.
    • Since mid-2014, Coach stopped putting serial numbers on creeds so in newer bags where the creeds don't have serial numbers, we also need to see pictures of the labels/tags from inside the bag. They are either both in the main open part sewn into the seam of the lining, or one might be buried deep inside the zipper pocket. One shows where made and the other has a serial number.

  • Please note that comments on price and condition are NOT permitted.
  • Do NOT PM an authenticator or moderator to request authentication. Any and all such requests should be posted in this thread.

Thank you Beenburned...now Ive got to decide how to proceed. Make an offer without the two fakes or leave it.

Send a message to the seller re fakes or report the whole listing?
I've heard too many (true) cases where messengers have been sanctioned (at best) and naru'ed (at worst) when they tried to help sellers by informing them of fakes. What happened is that sellers who knew what they were peddling didn't like having been caught so those sellers reported the message and member for misusing the messaging system.

So I just report and let ebay do the dirty work.

If that seller and listing are in the Philippines, I don't recommend buying. While there are probably some honest sellers there, we've seen a ton of extremely close fakes. As such, I recommend not buying from Filippino listings.

That's actually true, that's why I asked here first. This particular seller did say she bought it in Hongkong, and it's a seconshand item, which made me look at it twice. I tried checking the serial no. And it matches with the kelsey bag but again, i'm pretty new at owning Coach bags and I couldn't determine the fakes from the authentics at all.

Hi! Could you please help authenticate this bag on eBay please. Thank you very much!

Item:COACH VINTAGE COURT BRITISH TAN CROSSBODY SHOULDER SATCHEL BAG BRASS
Purse No: 9870
Listing number: 233506086420
Seller: debsw52
Link:https://www.ebay.com/itm/COACH-VINT...086420?hash=item365e0c1e14:g:zDwAAOSw889eIyaD
The bag shown is authentic but the dust bag isn't original to the bag. It's a much newer dustbag.

You might want to do a search of the Coach subforum because debsw52 has a history of mixing fakes and authentic items. She doesn't always verify that her listings are authentic.

I recently became friends with a person who frequents thrift stores, and when I mentioned my growing growing interest in Coach, she let me take a look at several of her bags. I was wondering about these three in particular and asked if I could check them out here. Any input appreciated!

Serial (as best as I could make it out): J8H-9829

I was especially curious about this one, because the leather felt the best of the three, but I remember reading about that serial being a red flag. The 'H' also looked weirdly wide.

Thank you!
