I've never seen a fake that I reported on Etsy removed unless the seller was honest enough to remove her own listing when personally notified.

But I have successfully gotten listings (of authentic items) removed when the sellers stole my pictures and I reported through when I reported via a DMCA takedown request. (I've done it on Poshmark, Tradesy, Etsy, Ioffer and Ebay.)

In my experience, that's the only way to get some of these sites to act on reports but it's the rights owners who have to report the infringement when it comes to intellectual property, i.e., images and text.

If the copyright holder sends them a notice, they'll act. Not so much if someone just uses the report button.

Some people got their listings removed on ebay for mentioning the item had velcro closures, when it was actually a similar closure but not made by velcro. Some brands are more vigilant at protecting their copyright. When I worked for Levi's, we were told to report any time someone used the word "Levi's" in an ad when they really meant another brand of jeans. They said that if they didn't protect their copyright, they could lose ownership of the name.

Based on your own experiences, is kinda pointless to report fakes in many sites. I just went to the Coach website and found (maybe you all know, but news to me), there is a form to report fakes and also a phone. So would that work as to report sellers or sites?

Thank you all. What I was referring to was the COACH impression/heat stamp that is on the bottom of the side of the bag. All my old previous vachetta leather legacy coach bags had them. And they all had pure brass hardware. This one was just a little different much lighter also. Also, my other bags had the F063 or JO669.

I'm glad it's authentic. Thank you so much for your replies.

Those heat stamps on the lower sides of your bags that you're comparing it to were only used on a few styles. You have to compare apples and apples, even with bags from the same "family" Or as someone over at Ebay's Fashion Forum said recently
"Not only do you have to compare apples to apples, but you have to compare Honeycrisps from Michigan to Honeycrisps from Michigan."

This is why it's SO important to only compare bags made in the same plant month and year and of the same style.Your other bags have different production codes because they weren't made at the same time or in the same plant. Coach also re-did their serial number format in the middle of 2006 to change all the then-current plant codes to go from one digit to two. The production codes and their changes through the years were modified constantly and are explained in the Serial Numbers and Creeds sections of the Salearea Coach Guides posted and Pinned right to the top of this Coach Shopping forum, you really should read them and refer to them when needed. The Guides start at Post 14 but the lead-up to them is worth reading once just to get some background:

Thanks to recent posts, I've been looking at the 65th Anniversary Legacy styles. Please authenticate when convenient:

Thanks!

No, it's a waste of time to report individual listings or sellers to Coach, they don't bother with "small potatoes". What they want to catch with that report link are the large-scale importers and distributors of CURRENT counterfeits that could affect the company's bottom line and steal sales from the corporation. If you have information about someone in the US selling large volumes of fake Rogues or a boat-load of Disney or other copyrighted styles they may investigate and then contact the FBI but if someone is selling a fake 1996 Willis they really don't give a damn.

That's why sites like Poshmark, Etsy, and a few others whose names escape me but with whom we've butted heads with before know that they're perfectly safe by claiming "the only one who can make us take a fake trademarked item down is the actual trademark holder" and legally, that's correct. They have no LEGAL obligation to remove items based only on third-party complaints. That's why they get away with it, because they're 100 percent sure that no one from Coach or one of their legal arms is going to be contacting them. COACH DOESN'T CARE.

Ebay DOES remove items based on QUALIFIED third-party reports because they got their butts handed to them in court more than a decade ago and Ebay lost. That's one reason why, with all their problems and greed and just plain stupidity, it's still safer buying from Ebay because they have mostly effective avenues for buyers to get refunds and for fakes to be removed before some poor suckers buy them. The only other selling site that's actually responsive to third-party reports seems to be Bonanza AFAIK.

They both seem OK but other opinions are welcome.

I had 2 questions about authenticity. I thought someone on here said that if the embossed story patch says made in China or made in Korea, that is a warning it is fake. Is that true?

2nd question, did Coach ever skip the "-" between the XXX-XXXX? I saw a bag that looks really good, but there is no dash, so I stayed away.
