No outside slip pocket..just one under the flap. I have doubts because I thought it was a city bag but the creed does npt match

Also the coach hangtag...it looks like it split in half. Didnt come with the other half. Leather seels good

If you mean that the serial number doesn't match, it's not supposed to. Coach has made dozens of changes over the years to the stamps in their bags, Don't ever try to authenticate one by comparing it to a totally different bag. This one isn't even a City Bag.

Older hangtags were made of two halves glued together, and they sometimes came apart.

And please read and save the links to the thread in this forum about the Salearea Guides. Read the guides carefully and go back every few months and read them again, especially the ones about authenticity guides, creeds and serial numbers..

The purse is a genuine Convertible Clutch style 9635 made in the late 1980s.

Hi all, I have this Etsy curiosity I wanted to ask you about. I've not seen its likeness before so it caught my eye.

Item: Coach duffel of some sort
Seller: VintageValuesByGina
Link: https://www.etsy.com/listing/700748272/beautiful-coach-handbag?ref=hp_rf-4
Comments: She mentions serial # G1B 9766 and provided the below photo to me when I asked for a photo of the inside. I'm not sure why she didn't add it to the listing, but I digress. I also asked her about the missing hardware on the front of the turnlock and she said she didn't realize it was missing (!?) and does not have it.

Thank you all -- would love to hear your thoughts. I have a Metro Business Satchel (I think?) that has the same sort of piping problem and have no idea how to fix it so that plus the turnlock hardware issue is a little eyebrow-raising for me on this one. :/

If VintageValuesByGina is going to sell Coach, she needs to educate herself!

I can't read the creed well enough to authenticate it but so far, the bag looks okay. Ask the seller to pull out the lining and get a clear and legible picture of the creed, preferably right side up!

But if the number she stated is correct, the bag isn't from the 70s as VintageValuesByGina states but from 2001 -- not even old enough to legally be on Etsy!

There are sellers (silver-coach is one) who sell hardware so you can get replacement turnlock hardware.

Wow, so you have to have bags of a certain age to be able to sell them on Etsy? I had no idea about this restriction.

I'll bug her again for a clearer photo because I agree that one is awful. And I cannot understand how she never noticed the hardware was missing. The bag clearly shows signs of significant wear. Perhaps she's selling it on behalf of someone else.

Thank you @BeenBurned !
