Thank you so much for your reply and all the information, helps a lot!
I think it would be a bottle green one, really love the color!

I think it's genuine a Regina Bag from 1995, the first serial number digit is probably supposed to be a "J". The style number should be 9983 and the strap apparently has been changed, the style came from Coach with a 50-inch thin non-adjustable strap. Color would be either Black or Bottle Green, you're in a better position to decide than I am. That seems like a lot of small differences but the bag still seems OK, but more opinions are welcome.

Item Name (if you know it):
    Link (if available):
Then attach any photos (all authentication must include photos.)
    • Please be sure to include a clear readable photo of the creed stamp and serial number from inside the bag or accessory if there is one, and the bag's measurements when the bag is an older or vintage leather Coach.
    • Since mid-2014, Coach stopped putting serial numbers on creeds so in newer bags where the creeds don't have serial numbers, we also need to see pictures of the labels/tags from inside the bag. They are either both in the main open part sewn into the seam of the lining, or one might be buried deep inside the zipper pocket. One shows where made and the other has a serial number.

I'm pretty sure that one is genuine. That "M" plant code was what we call a floater, meaning it was used by several different plants as it was needed, and it also changed formats during that year so it's really hard to pin it down and I don't have any comparables with the same exact prefix. Small details changed a bit over the year but in a logical way so I'm about 90 percent sure it's genuine. It always helps if we can see the backs of any hardware though, such as turnlocks where the prongs are clamped, buckles with any stamping on the back and any larger magnetic snaps with anything stamped on them.

This creed looks very fake. Unless this is just one I've never seen before? Let me know if she's a faker and I'll report.

The creed stamp with the Carriage emblem on top is a complete fake, and there's NO serial number either. A VERY close copy of a vintage bag with a creed and even what looks like a Made In white tag on the inside. The hangtag looks odd too.

I know Coach has updated the Willis a few times but did they ever make an exact copy between 2014 and 2017 that would NOT have had a serial number? Opinions, please if anyone knows.

Thanks for all of that detailed follow up. I’m already back home but will take more pictures of it if I get back to the thrift store today or tomorrow. I will definitely remember to take photos of both sides of the hardware in future posts. Thanks so much for your time.

I ended up dunking a Beekman in my kitchen sink, it just fit. I dunked it mostly to reshape it as it was already in good condition. It came out well. We can continue this over on the Rehab thread if you have questions.
Thanks Lake, I might take you up on that offer! It may not be this one, but I would love to get your input on the next one I rehab!
I so appreciate all of the folks on this forum, always willing to help and offer their expertise! A beautiful group of people, for sure!

Kind authenticators, when you have the time could you please take a look at this? TIA

Comments: I did some searches and looked in my catalogs and I can find similar color on newer ones, not one from 1999. (The creed is better when zoomed in, but still not totally clear. If real, I would love to buy this.

Thanks, we really just need a pic of the back of the turnlock with the prongs. If there's nothing stamped on the back of the buckles, then we don't need a photo, and of course there's no magnetic snap, but any bags that DO have those larger mag snaps need to have clear photos included of the "male" half so we can read what if anything is stamped there.

The color shown in the inside photo is probably the closest to the correct color of the bag and the only pic that actually looks like "steel blue". The serial number is barely visible but what little I can see seems ok, it's one of the classic Willises made in China, this one has what looks like a 2005 or 2006 year code.
