Good afternoon everyone!
Hoping to get an authentication on this bag, hopefully the style name and opinions on candidacy for rehab...

Item: AUTH VINTAGE COACH 9134 BROWN LEATHER BIG MESSENGER CROSS BODY BAG good condition
Listing: 192958725450
Seller: jajanb0

Listing says Costa Rica, but I think that she maybe used verbage from a prior listing and didn't edit properly.

Thanks in advance for any help and rehab opinions!
Authentic. I wonder if the measurements are off in the listing. It appears to be a Beekman brief but it is much larger than the measurements in the listing.

It doesn't look like it would be any bigger than what the listing says, but I'm not familiar with too many different styles. Do you think it would rehab well?
If it is Beekman, it will be about 16 1/2 inches long. Briefcases are harder to rehab because they are so big and heavy when wet. It looks to be in very good condition so I don't see any problems with the rehab if you can use a briefcase.

The seller's ENTIRE DESCRIPTION is wrong! It's not a crossbody messenger bag, it's full size BRIEFCASE. The measurements aren't 13x11, they're 16 1/2 x 12 1/2 x 4 1/2. Anyone buying that without realizing what it actually is and thinking they're getting what's in the description is probably going to be PO'd especially if they don't have any use for a briefcase. Couldn't the seller even bother to measure the thing?

It's a Style 5266 Beekman Brief from around 1992-93.

ETA - and just as further proof about the seller's cluelessness, here's the listing she copied the Title AND Description from!

for a bloody 9134 Hippie Flap. Made in Costa Rica. With at least TEN photos showing what that style looks like! Hey, they both say "9134" inside so they must be the same bag, right? RIGHT ??? Just because NONE of the other 9134s in an Ebay search look like the seller's "messenger" isn't important! Right?

Sorry, even for a new seller there's no excuse for something like that. Ignorance of basic Coach details is one thing, but not even comparing photos or even measuring the item is just incomprehensible.

Rant over.

Thanks for all the info Hyacinth, especially since I'm not in the market for a brief! I agree, that description is beyond lazy, and the pictures make it look like it's shaped like a satchel, not a briefcase.

Not looking to get these authenticated, but I noticed one of the bottom paragraphs states about this item not being authenticated, while the very top paragraph has the standard blurb of GW not selling counterfeit items. Just thought y'all might find this interesting.

And since they can't be bothered to show creeds or serial numbers, neither one can be authenticated anyway.
