It's genuine, made in 1994. As Whateve mentioned, please be sure to include links if it's a possible future or recent online purchase.

Two important things to know - the brand on a zipper has absolutely nothing to do with knowing or proving whether or not a "Coach" is authentic. Second, a lot of very useful and more important, ACCURATE information especially about classic and vintage Coaches can be found in the Salearea Coach Guides posted here at tPF, the Guides themselves start at Post # 14. Please read them soon and remember where to find them, they can save you a lot of frustration and even money in the long run. The link is Pinned to the top of every Coach Shopping index page. Thank you all so much for all the info. I appreciate the time you took to get back to me. I didn't buy it online. I found it as I've been helping my mother-in-law with going through her things. She said that I could have it (because I thought it was adorable). But I did not feel comfortable asking her if it was real (because I didn't want to offend her). It wasn't in a dust bag. My gut told me it was real, but I wanted to be sure and ask the experts on this forum. All of the info you both provided me is very helpful. I'll be diving into this forum and pertinent guide pages as I'm introducing myself to this website. Thank you and kind regards!

I meant "closely faked" to be that for a novice who searches style numbers and doesn't know what else to look for, they can be easily fooled.

But yes, PIT is obvious for that bag.

Tried to do some research on my own before asking, e.g. found a catalog image, but it was a small image, and not very clear.

Looks like navy blue to me.

It's authentic. The strap looks original. It is difficult to determine the color from pictures.

The color looks like faded black to me. I'm not seeing any blue tones, and Coach's Navy colors would still have stronger blue tones. JMO.
