Welcome to TPF!

I looked at your pictures as well as your other listings (completed) and see that you had 2 1941 Saddle bags.

I'm a bit confused by the post here because you showed two different creed pictures, one with SD-20115 and one with a 55036 style number. (The 55036 looks like a white bag. Is that one of the bags you sold or do you have a third?) That creed picture definitely isn't from the oxblood bag in the listing you showed.

If you read post 1, page 1 of this thread, you'll see that there's a comment about post 2014 bags made without serial numbers. (Although not mentioned, it also applies to bags from the 1941 collection that have meaningless serial numbers.) There is another picture needed of a white tag hidden somewhere inside the bag, possibly deep in the zippered pocket.

With that said, did the buyer say why she thinks it's fake? So far, from what I see, there are no red flags but there also aren't enough pictures to authenticate it.

Thanks for your reply-and sorry to confuse you! The white bag is the buyers bag which she compared to my bag. She thought my bag was fake because the tags were different and the creed didn’t have the style number like her bag. She also thought it was fake leather.

I am almost certain this bag was one I bought from Coach.com but do have a bit of a bag habit so might have mixed it up with an eBay or other used bag. Really I just was so mortified at the thought I might have sold counterfeit goods that I panicked a little.

I decided to accept her return - For whatever reason she doesn’t want it so I won’t hold her to the sale.

Thanks for the details on the creed and the white tag, I’ll check it out once I get it back.

I appear to have been skipped over, my apologies if I've missed some pertinent info and you've elected not to reply. If that's the case can you please let me know what else is needed? Many thanks.

Hi, I'm new to this site, but hopefully you can provide some assistance. I came across a few vintage handbags that I like on Ebay, this being one of them, but was stumped by the Style and Number. It looks like a Wills or Logan bag, bt I'm not sure. Can you help with identifying the Style and if it is authentic? Thanks.

It's genuine and was made in 1996, but we've never found out the official name. "Sherbourne" is one guess but it's JUST a guess. There were several Willis-style bags made in that time period that saw a very limited release or that were discontinued almost as soon as production started and this is one of those styles, along with a similar style 9989 that lacked the dowel on the top and looked like a Station Bag that had been stretched horizontally. There are no catalog records of either or at least none that we've been able to find. My own theory is that they were just too similar to the 9927 Willis and 5130 Station Bag to make it worth producing them. Click on the thumbnails.

1- genuine, it looks like a 0 for the year code, so made in Costa Rica in late 2000. The seller's description in her listing that says "it was definitely made in the USA. I think it was made in nyc still, but it says that when it was I thought, however I know it was made before they started sending them overseas to be made.." is completely wrong. I wonder if she even tried to read the creed, which should say that it was Made in Costa Rica. I can just barely see the country name at the end of the second line in the creed. That style wasn't even released until late 2000.

2 - genuine Casino Bag from 1995, the coin pouch is probably about the same age.

Thank you very much! I really find it amazing how you know a lot about luxury authentication. You are very helpful[emoji5]

I'm sorry, I can't help. I don't do newer styles. You'll have to wait for another authenticator.
It looks good to me.

Genuine Willis, won't technically be considered "vintage" until 2022.

Oop, one more thing I'd like to ask, if you have a chance. After you authenticated, seller uploaded more photos. Don't know if the photo of the bottom of the bag was up already when you took a look. I noticed that the stitching on the bottom of the bag looks like it isn't the straightest. Assuming that's nothing to be concerned about?

(I'm new to the whole vintage Coach thing, and really can't tell issues from non-issues.)

It's fine. Coach isn't perfect.
