I am concerned because that weird stamp that has an X with 1941 laid out around it normally under the side zipper flap isn’t there. I have already purchased it and want to make sure it’s real before I confirm purchase.

I am attaching pics. This is my first post so please forgive anything I’m missing.

I don't see any red flags despite of the lack of the stamp your talking about. I have a chalk Rogue satchel made at the same plant and year but different month. It has the stamp but mine is a completely different style so I can't really compare to that. Wait for @BeenBurned's opinion. View attachment 4419899
I'll defer to @houseof999 because I don't have the bag and I don't know whether there was an omission on your bag.

Sorry I'm not more help although I don't see any obvious problems either.

Need your help possibly. I bought a Coach bag today I'm sure is vintage, 1970s - 80s but I'd like a 2nd opinion...J0N-6203. Please look at pictures and verify if this is a 70s or 80s bag?

Thank you!

It's a genuine Neo Pocket Zip, but your age estimate is quite a ways off. It was made in 2000, and technically won't be considered Vintage until next year when it's 20 years old. The fabric is Neoprene.

Not only wasn't Coach using serial numbers until maybe the very late 1970s, but genuine Coaches made before the late 1990s would never have had silver-color hardware.

I suggest you read this thread that includes all 6 Salearea Coach Guides for accurate information on things like dates, creeds and serial numbers. If you're getting your information on Coach dates from somewhere on the internet, you're getting some very bad information:
https://forum.purseblog.com/threads/salearea-guides.983575/#post-32252957

ETA - you mentioned here in January that you usually authenticate your own Coaches. One of the most basic, yet important, details to know when authenticating a "Coach" is how to determine when it was made, followed by determining if the details are correct not just for the style but also for the plant, month and year in the codes. If you don't have accurate information on how to do that, you're going to have serious problems. I strongly suggest that, like with other highly faked brands, Coach buyers leave the authentications to the experts.
