BASIC PICTURES REQUIRED (but more may be requested): If necessary pictures are in the listing, it's not necessary to upload and duplicate them.

  • Full clear and legible creed text and serial number
  • Made in tags (when available)

  • For bags with turnlock closures, show pictures of back of female side of turnlock
  • For bags with magnetic snaps, show pictures of the male part of the snap so that the numbers and letters on it can be read

Am I seeing the hint of a ballchain on the right here? There are no hangtags included with the bag in the other photos, so unless I'm seeing things, this photo may not go with this bag, or the seller is keeping the hangtags. Thoughts??

Just so you know, these bags weren't made of patent leather. It is fabric that is coated with plastic. The keychain is part of an authentic keychain. It is missing the ornamental part.

Just to make it clear, the brand name stamped on a zipper has NOTHING to do with whether or not a "Coach" is authentic. That YKK "rule" is complete nonsense.

Please supply the information listed in Post number One of this thread about where the bag was purchased and the URL of the listing if it was an internet seller.

Am I reading the serial number, specifically the prefix correctly?

Is the prefix No. D1978?

I'd like to see a link to the listing, know where the seller is located as well as the made in tag and other info as per post 1.

That's what I'm seeing too. Seems a bit recent, and the stamping of the creed is almost completely unreadable. Looking at the "B" in "bag" and the B in "badge" on the line just below it, the 2 Bs don't even look alike. (And with all the ones listed on Fleabay, good luck with trying to find a single one from that plant with a readable creed pic. Sellers are getting inexcusably lazy!)

I've looked at about 3 dozen listings of 28989 bags and have seen some extremely close fakes and of those with legible creeds were made in 2019. The "gift" hang tag from the seller is a red flag and if the bag is NWOT, that's another.

I hope @Paige79 comes back with more information.

ETA: In addition to the info and pictures as required in post 1, page 1, please also include a picture of the clips at the end of the long strap. And if the bag has a tag, include that too.
