  • Before you submit a request for authentication, please search this thread to make sure that the item has not previously been authenticated by searching the seller ID and/or item number. This is not a thread to ask general questions about COACH, please refer to our main Coach forum for such information.
  • Note that authenticators have the right to refuse any requests. This is a free service, but it is imperative that you help our authenticators by using the following format:
  • FOR ITEMS LISTED ONLINE:
    Item:
    Listing number:
    Seller and site where listed
    Link:
    Comments:

  • FOR ITEMS NOT LISTED ONLINE:
    Item:
    Where purchased or how obtained
    Comments:
BASIC PICTURES REQUIRED (but more may be requested): If necessary pictures are in the listing, it's not necessary to upload and duplicate them.
  • Front of item
  • Back of item
  • Full clear and legible creed text and serial number
  • Made in tags (when available)
  • Measurements
  • For bags with turnlock closures, show pictures of back of female side of turnlock
  • For bags with magnetic snaps, show pictures of the male part of the snap so that the numbers and letters on it can be read
  • If applicable, search interior of bag and/or pockets for small white tag with production information and include a picture of that.
Thank you and be safe!

Please help me determine if this is authentic. I believe it is but the creed has no number and there is no tag with a number inside. If you know the name of this bag too, please tell me. Thank you

it looks good. Swingpacks of this era often didn't have creeds or if they had creeds, didn't have numbers. This was made before they used the little tags with numbers. I'm sorry I don't know the name, but it was probably called a swingpack.
I believe it's style number 4752. It's a Hamptons leather swingpack.

ETA: It might be called Hamilton.

Hi, could I get your opinion on the authenticity of this lot?
Item: Lot of 3 COACH Handbags & Coin Purse
Listing number: 65846854
Seller: shopgoodwill.com
Link: https://www.shopgoodwill.com/Item/65846854
Comments: I hit a dead end with the black one, I searched to compare it with previously authenticated convertible clutches and only found ones with random serial numbers. In addition, is there enough information in the listing to authenticate the coin purse and the fabric one?
As always, thank you so much!!

Would appreciate to have name of the bag and what year it was made (is there any coach catalogue for this one).

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

Many thanks in advance for your time.

Your theory is wrong.

I have no doubt that the jacket is fake as are the patches and most of the Nasa items I've studied online.

As for the seller of your FAKE jacket, I also found 38 other IDs from the same scamming ring.

So you know, there's no such thing as "seconds from a chinese factory." That's a BS explanation given by counterfeiters as to how they "source" their items.

If you're happy with the jacket, that's great.

Without preaching, I recommend you do a bit of research on the counterfeit industry, the working conditions, how the money is used and see if you still feel comfortable.

A good place to start that will require little effort is to watch a youtube video with Dana Thomas who wrote Deluxe: How Luxury Lost its Luster. (On a personal note, I literally got sick after reading parts of her book.)
Dana Thomas: "Deluxe: How Luxury Lost Its Luster" | Talks at Google ...

ETA: And because this is on my mind, I'll post it. While I'm sorry for spending a ton of time trying to help someone who still decided to buy a fake from a scammer (or rather, a group of scammers), the hours it took me to put together my list of related IDs will have been worth it if the seller @AstroLiz bought from as well as the other fraudulent sellers are banned from ebay.

I appreciated reading your findings. And I was so amazed that you were able to find their other associated IDs! How did you link them? Through their feedback they were leaving for each other? If you’d rather not say I understand.

Over the years, I've seen a lot of these types of scammers and I've reached a point where I know what to look for in the listings, listing style, feedback received and feedback left for others.

knitter500 - creed is illegible. It can't be authenticated.

Others are fine.
