I don’t mean to sound flip, but because I can get authentification here first, if I am patient, I don’t have frustration or issues with buying fakes. And I won’t contact sellers who sell fakes. I report them to eBay.
I think it safe to say everyone here likes Coach, and knows a bit about Coach, but it is the authenticators that know what details to look for and how they vary from bag to bag year to year.
Like other responses, I buy bags that are no longer made. You must not be familiar with Coach, or else you would know of lately, at most they carry a few styles for a few years and then discontinue them. Many styles now seem to be only available for a year or two.

yeah, I am familiar with Coach and their business model. You don't sound flip at all. I still a very small percentage of Coach products. I am just trying to understand the buyer behaviors.

thanks for your input. it's helpful.

Can someone check on this one for me? And because of the lining, I would think it would have to go to Coach to fix the turnlock, does anybody know how much they are charging?

As always, lots of thanks and appreciation

It's probably okay but they don't show the creed to confirm.

I don't know what Coach would charge for the repair.

There actually is a creed photo, you just have to keep pushng that arrow button past the Point Of Aggravation until you find it. (I HATE those bloody Auto-Scroll listings, whoever decided to use those for GW listings should be forced to work in one of their store's Receiving and Sorting rooms for the rest of their natural life).

It's E1269-19132, Poppy Leather New Willis. The creed and serial look ok although the only photo I have is of the earlier 70th Anniversary special creed from 2011, but the few digits that are the same on both creeds look OK. The lining has some soiling and the hangtag(s) is/are missing and so is the tassel. There are scrapes and what looks like some kind of white residue on the creed patch but it looks genuine.

If I may.. I will chime in from the perspective of a buyer

I only started to purchase, collect and admire Coach purses, first modern (2010+), a couple years ago. Then I discovered Vintage and older styles and that is what I have been buying.
I do not buy or like the latest styles, because I do not want to be "like everyone else", that applies to some styles of vintage, like the Willis for example, I never was tempted to buy one.
Some of the ladies here (although I am not one of the regulars), might recollect that I start my posts, with I bought this rare, or could you ID this unusual to me... and once or twice (only) I have stumped them, LOL
None of my bags could haven been bought from Coach directly or a licensed store. Ebay, other online sites and occasionally thrift shops are the only places I can buy.

I totally trust the authenticators here, not the Ebay sellers no matter how many purses they have sold.

Regarding reporting fakes, I contacted once a brand new seller about their replica bag that thanked me and ended the listing right away. I did the same to one of those TRS hundreds and hundreds of feedbacks, that chewed me out and told me to stick to my business, that she knew better. Now I only report, (when I am sure of course).

Authentic.

Not necessarily. I don't sell all Coach brands, but a big mix of different designers and brands. I mix it up. Also, eBay and Coach puts the breaks on sellers that list a high percentage of Coach vs other brands and designers. When I first started selling, they put a restriction on me and said I was selling way too many Coach purses. This was coming directly from Coach and they really frown upon ebay sellers trying to be exclusive Coach sellers. So, for me, opened the door to other designers and brands. Coach is a good brand, but I won't be out of business if everyone went to Coach.com. I would be very happy for the Coach corporation. Over the last decade, they have really produced a huge ton of designs and I read they are scaling back...giving the brand the exclusiveness it once had decades ago.
Actually it doesn't come from Coach. Coach doesn't get involved in ebay, unless they have a VERO representative, which I don't think they do. It comes from ebay. They put restrictions on new sellers that sell brands that are often faked. Once a seller proves they are reliable, the restrictions come off.

Well, it was 2013 and I usually call ebay once a week. None of my items were fake at the time. I asked if it was Vero and, whomever Ebay person I spoke with at the time, told me it's an order from Coach, the company. I have sold on ebay for almost 10 years. But, that was enough to push me into another direction to sell other brands and designers.

Oh I don't fakes either. I do sell purses, shoes, suits, jeans, jackets, outerwear, wallet...etc. So my main focus is not Coach.
