I posted this in Rehab and Rescue thread I visit often, but then realized most people come to the Authentication thread - since I wanted other people see it, I decided to copy and paste it here. Sorry as it's off topic.

I wanted to say Happy International Women's Day to all ladies around here (and all men who make their life brighter and happier). It's a great holiday that is slowly but surely gaining popularity on this continent. To my American friends who don't know much about it I usually explain it as a "cross between Mother's Day and Valentine's Day": it's the holiday centered around ALL women - moms, grandmothers, young women and little girls. In Europe where it's celebrated men often give flowers to the women on the streets they often don't even know and treat them all like queens.

Below are the words from a poem by the famous Russian poet Marina Tsvetaeva. I found it today among other women's wise words Google put together for the occasion. It says:

"Wings are freedom only when they are wide open in flight. On one's back they are a heavy weight."

May your wings never weigh you down and only help you reach your dreams!

Thanks for the reminder!

And now, if the US wants to actually do something positive about this and if the states which have still not ratified the Equal Rights Amendment of 1972 (note the date!) to the US constitution, how about deciding that it's time to put equal protection regardless of gender into law? (I'm looking at YOU, Commonwealth Of Virginia!) WE'VE WAITED LONG ENOUGH !!!

No other tags are inside the bag beyond the creed and the made in Vietnam label. Oh! I found one!

Hi I hope I’m posting this in the right place. I bought this bag at a thrift store yesterday, it has such a unique shape! But then I realized there is no serial number and I could not find anything like it so I’m not too hopeful...there is an embossed picture of a coach on the handle hardware, which I’ve never seen before. Thank you for any input!

Please notice that at the top of each page it says "
Authenticate This COACH - **see first post for format**"

Please read Post number one (a.k.a. "first post") and follow the required format. Pay special attention to the instructions about creeds with no serial numbers in newer bags and where to look for that information. And what's stamped on the zipper doesn't mean a darned thing.

Bags made between 2014 and 2017 often don't have serial numbers stamped onto the creed patch, that second fabric tag with the production codes is usually buried all the way on the bottom of one of the pockets. Thanks for looking.
I believe it's a genuine Pebbled Leather Phoebe made in 2014, but other opinions are welcome.

I am just trying to understand the buyer behaviors.
thanks for your input. it's helpful.

Fair enough. My buying behavior is that I gravitate toward Coach bags made in the 80’s and 90’s. The leather used lends itself to reconditioning/refurbishing. I just like the combo of the leather and the style. I also had the luck to find bags unused, that must have sat in the closet. And I love a bargain. That is my buying behavior lol. I buy online and at thrift stores and flea markets.
The problem is that there was a surge of fakes made in the late 90’s, and they were heavily sold in the area I live. I know this first hand from someone who worked for the DEA at that time and he had knowledge of a group that was arrested for selling knockoffs of all kinds of brands at a local flea market. I knew so many women who bought their Fooney’s there! And from an acquaintance back then who told me I could order anything from the “Coach man”who took orders at her hair salon. And trust me I still see awful pleather Foach and Fooney at thrift shops from that era. I’ll save the story from my sister’s coworker about how fakes were sold in China for another time.

Thank you for your time and help!

There should also be a "Made In..." tag inside the bag. We need photos of that and of the other one you mentioned, you may have to turn the pocket inside out to get the photo.

Hello, thank you for your time and help. I am unable to pull out the inner pocket without ruining the bag. I hope these photos are helpful to you.

Thank you BeenBurned!!! You or the other authenticators, would you be able to tell me which year this is? I think I truly lucked out on this bag. It was 10$ and looks like never used. It's super cute! Thank you all authenticators for your time and help! I greatly appreciate it!
