This is not a thread to ask general questions about COACH, please refer to our main Coach forum for such information.

Thank you and be safe!

Hello authenticators! I know how ya’ll feel about Poshmark... but if someone wouldn’t mind, could I get an opinion on these duffle sacs? Both were purchased in the same listing. Thanks!

Item: 2 Coach Leather Bags
Seller: lara789
Link: https://posh.mk/WY7j373oGU
Comments: The dark brown bag seems ok to me, leather feels good and hardware looks correct. The BT bag has a stiffer leather, and the hardware differs slightly - see the back side of the rivets. Also, the pocket on the BT bag seems to have been assembled backwards with the suede on the back instead of inside.F6E197C7-B6D7-4B3A-AEA8-BAC9C52AF123.jpg23237138-414D-4392-BC7B-71BFEE90919B.jpg

This coach purse does not have the "YKK" on zipper and when I called coach to ask about serial number they pulled a completely different purse.

thank you,
jackie

Before you go any further into Coach, go to the top of the index page in this Coach Shopping forum, look for the Pinned thread called "SaleArea Guides" and read those posts carefully, paying special attention to the actual Guides starting with Post 14 and especially the ones on Authenticy Guides and on the YKK Zipper Myth.
https://forum.purseblog.com/threads/salearea-guides.983575/
Then you can stop spending your time looking for non-existant "proofs" of authenticity because a zipper doesn't prove ANYTHING. Neither do most of the other "proofs" in those so-called authenticity guides.

As for the serial number, I just searched for style number 19358 on Ebay and found 2 bags just like yours, so either you talked to a fool, or someone got the number wrong. That bag is genuine.

They're both genuine. The dark one is slightly older and looks like it's seen more use.

Thanks for nothing and you courteous response . So because you found on eBay, it's authentic??? Give me a break...guess this site is worthless, same as your opinion .
I had coach look up the serial number and send me a picture, didn't match at all.

Correction - chances are that it's fake but that has nothing to do with the zipper.

Hello. I'm a new comer and not native English speaker. So if I'm doing this wrong, please let me know.

Could someone authenticate the bag below?

Item: Vintage 90s Coach Black Top Handle Drawstring Sling Bag 9992
Listing number: 292968960720
Seller: angiex2
Link: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-90s-Coach-Black-Top-Handle-Drawstring-Sling-Bag-9992-/292968960720?_trksid=p2047675.l2557&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&nma=true&si=1KwFz2o6ILvJlRz2reLy2LEPht0%3D&orig_cvip=true&nordt=true&rt=nc
Comments: I bought it but J8H creed worry me.

Thank you very much

Sorry, it's fake. "J8H-" is never found in genuine Coaches, the leather tab around the turnlock is the wrong shape, the back of the turnlock is wrong, the front pocket is too big, and the rings holding the top handle aren't the correct shape. We've seen other fakes of that style with the same problems. Here are 2 genuine ones, it can be hard to see the differences but that serial number prefix is always fake.

I Googled "Coach 19358" and found a bag that looks exactly like yours. This proves nothing except that the Coach employee you spoke to must have looked up a different number.

COACH HAMPTONS WEEKEND SIGNATURE COLORBLOCK SHOULDER BAG
Style: 19358

Lesson #1: Coach employees are frequently not qualified to authenticate bags.
Lesson #2: Some authentic Coach bags DO NOT have YKK zippers.
Lesson #3: Some fakes have YKK zippers.

Too bad for you, ironically, that you don’t know enough to appreciate what a great service we have going here. Lurk a little and get a little education.
Say what you will about the opinions here. I’ll take them every day and twice on Sunday!

Thank you very much for taking time for me, Hyacinth!
It's sad, but good to know. I will cancel the auction.
I really appreciate your expert knowledge, and generosity to do this for free.
I'm sure most people do!

More photos: Also if it’s authentic what is it called and does it look like the strap has been repaired?

It's an authentic classic pouch, also called a classic shoulder bag, #9170. The strap looks original. Sometimes they were a little sloppy at the overlap. I can't tell if it was always like that or if it was repaired.
