I don't see anything wrong with the hangtag. It doesn't belong on a 1980s bag. Lots of hangtags are one-sided - that doesn't make them fake. What you should look for is the font and spacing of the logo.

Thank you!

Hello again authenticators- I think this may have been missed before so I’m trying again. Thank you!
I'm sorry but I don't recommend nor will I authenticate items listed on Poshmark because I don't like the way they do business, I don't like that they allow the sale of fakes and are unresponsive to reports and I don't like that their "authenticators" deem fakes as authentic and authentic items as fake when disputes are filed.

But regarding the listing in question, it doesn't show enough of the right details to authenticate it.

Personally, I recommend using a site that is more honest.

Note that my opinion isn't to say that there aren't honest sellers on PM but the dishonest sellers and the admin of the site make it an unsafe venue to do business.

Thanks Whateve  Any idea. How new is it? My one sided tags are from vintage bags. I seriously haven't paid attention to bags or tags beyond 2001..My brain can only handle so much.

It's authentic. Red was usually a standard color for Coach. Not all colors are shown on the Wayback Machine. I don't think it was dyed but something may have been applied to the exterior. It's a bit shiny. It could just be some kind of conditioner.

By the way, it isn't a court bag, it's a Willis.

Thanks so much for letting me know and indulging my curiosity!

About the style: oops! I got a Court bag recently, and looks like it was on my mind. =)

Just to add to what's been said about the color - NONE of the "classic" bags' colors made in China in 2004 ever made it onto the main website OR the Wayback website. Those colors and bags from the start were made for the outlets, they probably all have outlet stamps, and none of the specific outlet styles OR their colors including Aubergine and several shades of blue would have been on the main Coach website. There are at least 5 or 6 colors made in China in 2004 that you won't find on any the Wayback pages. The Wayback only shows one specific date and any colors made for a different season from that date OR colors that had already sold out probably won't be in the Wayback. Outlet-only items had their own site that during that time wasn't accessible to the public OR to computers in the full-price Coach stores either.

Thanks so much for all the information! Good to know, and interesting!

Thank you so much for the response. I wasn’t aware of a problem with the site but I appreciate the heads up. I will take that into advisement for future purchases for sure. Would it be ok once I receive the item to take pics and post?

My coworker has bought clothing on Poshmark and just bought a few things this week. I had to keep myself from unconsciously saying, oh the cesspool? I had not heard of Poshmark pre-tPF.
