We don't recommend buying from Poshmark because they have a TERRIBLE record when it comes to removing reported fakes - they don't remove them at all. It's also are very difficult to get refunds from them when a buyer gets a fake item.

All three of those bags look to be genuine.

Good morning. This little bag caught my eye. I am very appreciative of your authenticating. Thanks so much for all you do!

Vintage COACH Olive Leather Canteen Round Crossbody Bag Purse New

Comments: Any idea of age, if genuine? Thanks again.

It's a genuine Chester Bag, style 9901 from around 1993. The color might be Bottle Green since Olive wasn't available until around the middle of 1994. If it's actually Olive then it's probably from mid-1994 right before they introduced the new-style serial numbers.

Thank you so much, Hyacinth. I love learning about these great vintage bags.

Can someone please authenticate this? I thought I’d read that serial numbers starting with BIN were typically fakes.

No, not just "typically" fakes - ALWAYS fake, no exceptions. The fonts and spacing of the number are all wrong too.
I can recall a history from belviderefashions.

I think this bag (SOLD) needs to be looked at too:

ETA: I think I've answered my own question, or rather confirmed what I'd suspected.

I found these older posts regarding the R plant that seem to confirm that the bag in question is fake:

Hi! Could you please authenticate this bag? I don't know the name of this style, and the creed is different compared to newer styles (has those J code) so I don't know if this is genuine or not. I tried to google it and found the same bag with different color on poshmark, but the stamp creed on poshmark is deeper than on this bag. Thanks in advance!

I THINK it's ok but I'm going to ask BeenBurned to take a look when she gets a chance.

This exact style isn't in my photo files but what might be its big sister 6232 Signature Large Gallery Satchel is, and 10 or 12 years ago was highly and closely faked. The 2 things I'm worried about are the uneven-looking edgepaint on the handles, and that on the larger 6232 the other end of the top zip leather border had Coach stamped into one end which is the end you're not showing in your photos. If that end has a Coach logo stamped into it, can you take a photo of it and post it? Below is the same detail on the Large version to show you what I mean. I'm pretty sure it's ok, but the fakes of the 6232 used to drive us crazy so I'd rather be sure.

Please post the picture Hyacinth has requested as well as a link to the listing from which it was purchased (if you bought online).

I shall reserve comment until further picture(s) are posted.

Thanks for sharing and for the additional history. Disappointing that a repeat offender selling fakes maintains a 100% rating on eBay.

Yep, not only did Coach NEVER make any of those "customer name" Legacy bags that were introduced in 1994 in any shade of pink, but in 2000 the R plant code was in active use by one of the Thailand plants. They used it from 1999 straight through to 2003
