I THINK it's ok but I'm going to ask BeenBurned to take a look when she gets a chance.

This exact style isn't in my photo files but what might be its big sister 6232 Signature Large Gallery Satchel is, and 10 or 12 years ago was highly and closely faked. The 2 things I'm worried about are the uneven-looking edgepaint on the handles, and that on the larger 6232 the other end of the top zip leather border had Coach stamped into one end which is the end you're not showing in your photos. If that end has a Coach logo stamped into it, can you take a photo of it and post it? Below is the same detail on the Large version to show you what I mean. I'm pretty sure it's ok, but the fakes of the 6232 used to drive us crazy so I'd rather be sure.
Genuine 6232 "closed" zipper end:

Please post the picture Hyacinth has requested as well as a link to the listing from which it was purchased (if you bought online).

I shall reserve comment until further picture(s) are posted.

Thanks for your replies! Unfortunately I'm just about to buy the bag from a private online auction, and the seller didn't give me the other side detail. I had to down paid the bag before the seller gave me these details. I'll ask for more details, but if she didn't give me I have to wait for the bag to be in my possession and retake the photo.

Regular readers of this forum and thread would have spotted several major problems right away without needing more pictures. The C pattern isn't correctly centered (NOT all Signature pattern Coaches have centered Cs but the standard Sig C pattern styles almost always do, at least 98-99 percent of the time) and the creed stamp says the bag was made in the USA. Signature C styles were never made in the US. AND the creed says the bag is made of glove-tanned cowhide. If creed photos are included in a listing, read them carefully.

Yes I didn't see the creed, I would've picked it up immediately, itotally missed the pattern, shame on me, I normally pay better attention but I own it and still lots of learning for me :) thank you all for your help

Ladies, so i don't make another mistake May I ask your opinion please
Thank you for your help.

I've made it clear how I feel about Poshmark (and it's not good!) and it sounds like the seller is unresponsive.

I'd find a new (more responsive) seller on a better site!

BTW, the seller didn't respond to questions on her other Coach listing either. One of the questions was asked 3 days ago without being answered.

I'd avoid
depriset18 and Poshmark.

ETA: On her MK listing, someone asked a question 12 days ago (on Jan. 6) and still hasn't received a response.

Thank you, i'm grateful for your sound advice I am trying to look elsewhere it's been difficult to find a wallet in this specific pattern and color that's not crazy expensive. Vermillion/ carnelian has been a bit tricky to find (i'm not certain this is that color either) but i'm looking everyday so something is bound to come up. As always, BeenBurned I appreciate your help, thank you

Hello. I have three bags in my possession I'd like for someone to authenticate.

1. I'm getting paranoid about my beloved 9988 Saddle.
Measures approx 12in tall from top of side buckle to bottom, 9.5 wide, 3 deep
Strap is approx 41.5 in
Creed number M6M-9988, second photo.

2. No clue the name of this bag, if authentic and authenticator can ID, I'd love to know!
Magnetic closure is missing the male piece, see third photo for lady part.
Measures approx 8in tall, 10 wide, 2 deep.
Strap is approx 48 inches at longest adjustment
1970s seeming serial number/creed, number is 037-7144, 'made in the united states'

3. No clue the name of this bag, if authentic and authenticator can ID, I'd love to know!
Magnetic buckle closure comes off, see 2nd photo
creed stamp serial number appears to be missing hyphen, number is: 0802 140
says "made in the united states" at bottom of stamp
Measures approx 9.5in tall 10in wide, 3.5 deep,
strap drop adjustable approx 46 to 51 inches

Thank you so much!

The other two are authentic too. #2 is a Fulton bag from the Carriage Classic collection from around 1992. # 3 is Chelsea bag #9894 from around 1991-1992.

So after my fiasco....I’ve been extremely careful because I just don’t wanna get “got” again. I found this on ebay and I’m sure it’s not real. This W at the beginning of the serial number has me spooked. It’s not the same number as the other bag I unknowingly bought. I’m not even considering buying this for myself. Ladies?

Be sure to post the seller's ID as per post 1, page 1: winter2summer1

DON'T buy! W7B is fairly common on fakes and ANY bag with a W month code is fake.

Item: Coach 4173
Listing number: 143096286421
Seller: homeandmore2013

Comments: I’ve never seen this bag before, but I’m wondering about this. Thanks so much. It’s black though, so I’m not sure I’ll purchase it.
I can't read the creed but if it says 9173, that's incorrect. 9173 is a different style bag and wasn't made in 1997.

ETA: Please don't report. Since we can't read nor confirm the creed, there isn't enough evidence that it's fake.

The seller might have misread the serial.
