Last one for today. It is a Coach Rambler, I think.

The Creed Number is k8c-9061, I think it is really hard to make out

Comments: I am wondering if this is authentic. I have been drooling over this bag for years and am tempted to bid if it is real. The seller doesn't appear to have any selling feedback, just buyer feedback from over a year ago which worries me. Also wondering if you think it is in decent enough shape. It seems like there is just minor wear and possibly some staining in the inside lining. It's authentic from 2008.

Note that picture #1 isn't the seller's own picture. It's a stolen Coach stock image to which someone added text.

Well, my bad. These looked good from the sellers photos. Until I received them, and checked against the authentic one have. Fakey fakes? Attaching my close up photos of items received. Last photo shows my BT one compared to the three I received.

There are fakes of that teardrop style but I feel comfortable with those in the listing and your pictures of them.

What did ebay tell you?

Tell them that the listing was removed as fake (presumably), seller isn't responding and you want a full refund.

If they aren't willing to issue the refund up front, tell them you want the seller to respond with a prepaid shipping label.

Sometimes once a listing has been removed, you aren't able to open a dispute so you might have to do so through Paypal. If that's the case, open a SNAD (not as described/counterfeit) dispute through PP.

I'm so sorry you are going through this.

Well, the customer service agent at eBay was really helpful...I explained the entire situation to her about the purse being fake and I included a picture of the creed. I told her how after I posted the link to a blog (thank you again ladies!!!) the post disappeared. She was still able to see the original purchase and she talked me through the refund process and thanked me for reporting the fake. Apparently a lot of people don’t bother to report sellers that sell fakes as authentic bags. He has until the 23rd to respond or work out the situation with me. If the seller doesn’t respond by then, I have to contact ebay and they’ll escalate the complaint. I asked about these situations and if they are usually resolved and what happens now. She said if it gets escalated, they’ll more than likely refund my purchase and shipping fees. I can send it back or give the bag away....basically do what I want with it. It does suck but at least I didn’t spend a lot on the purse. Hopefully it’ll be resolved quickly. My birthday is on Jan 19th and this was my bday present to myself *cries* lol.

Don't worry. I've never heard of a case where a buyer didn't win a case like this. You should get a full refund and if the seller wants it back, she should have to pay the shipping. If you do send it back, keep an eye out to make sure she doesn't relist it.

Item: Coach x Rodarte Tote
Seller: TheRealReal
Link: https://www.therealreal.com/product...darte-embossed-archive-print-tote-XjN_8UJFZEY
Comments: I had one previous fake from TRR so I am cautious, but this unique tote was a great deal (maybe too good?) I've received it and added photos since I know TRR never has sufficient ones. Most everything seems good - it actually has Coach & Rodarte stamping on all the hardware, including the tiniest pieces! - and the leather feels fabulous, but the creed gives me pause. It has the Dinky "faux" style number and the wording is just slightly different than two others I found on eBay (in a different colors) . The comparison creeds have the true style number and are a gold print rather than embossed, too. I also cannot find a "made in" tag or a white tag with the style number in any of the pockets. Could this be an early version of the tote with a prototype creed? Thank you for taking the time to review!

223742JAX it has a tag inside that says it is made in vietnam. And it doesn’t have a serial number on the creed, can’t provide a picture of it because it’s hard to take a picture of it.5D1A8F02-FF4A-4C21-9A64-EA4079B256E4.jpeg 94517348-4D99-4068-9A74-2F97C6834671.jpeg 01B6586B-2843-49E6-9834-6CC033253D0E.jpeg 1B30E9E1-E96F-45B7-B106-ADA689255AFB.jpeg 27CA7146-325D-4E71-89D4-A0F169019AB4.jpeg 2B36C8B6-14A1-43A8-B7DB-907229D4667B.jpeg 0DC70984-189A-4F7A-B7E5-B2120CA8BD8A.jpeg 27CA7146-325D-4E71-89D4-A0F169019AB4.jpeg 81A058E4-70A3-4DAB-903E-DA74BCA343B1.jpeg 49FCA816-D544-4C49-BD6F-6B38006A2A94.jpeg 0F77E10E-8B70-4C3D-873E-053CBED775DA.jpeg 5D1A8F02-FF4A-4C21-9A64-EA4079B256E4.jpeg 94517348-4D99-4068-9A74-2F97C6834671.jpeg 94517348-4D99-4068-9A74-2F97C6834671.jpeg 5D1A8F02-FF4A-4C21-9A64-EA4079B256E4.jpeg 5D1A8F02-FF4A-4C21-9A64-EA4079B256E4.jpeg 94517348-4D99-4068-9A74-2F97C6834671.jpeg 5D1A8F02-FF4A-4C21-9A64-EA4079B256E4.jpeg

Hi. Can you please help me authenticate this. I got this from Ebay UK and I think I made a mistake thinking that coach fakes are not so common here in the UK and didn't ask for more pictures. The zips are marked with coach as well as the feet. It is the creed that throws me off. J1680-00000 and the tag inside the pocket.
I've been trying to find the model and no luck in that dept. Can you please help.

TIA

I love the tattersall Bleecker bags and I have lusted for a Woven Pocket Hobo 12378 from 2008 for a long time, but they are always listed for more than I want to spend - and I already have too many bags anyway!

This pocket hobo had been poorly listed on Mercari for a long time and I had "liked" it in the past, but I didn't buy because there weren't enough pictures (not even a picture of the creed) and it was more than I cared to spend at $50 + $8 S&H, especially on a rather "loose" site like Mercari.

I received an email notice last night stating that the price of the bag had dropped to $26 + $8 S&H and I decided to buy it before someone else grabbed it - because a total of 14 people had "liked" it.

The pictures are poor and few but I think that this would be a hard bag to fake because it is so detailed, and from what I can see, it looks right and it doesn't appear to be too badly abused. I also thought that the other coach items that this vendor has for sale looked okay (at least to me!)

I will not ask you to authenticate the bag with such scanty information, but I'd really appreciate it if you could just take a look and tell me if you can see any red flags that I've missed? Thanks so much!

Comments: You need to use Google Chrome, Firefox, or Safari to see photos on Mercari.

I found this stock photo of the Woven Pocket Hobo on-line just for reference. Do you happen to know if the brown color of this bag was called "whiskey" or "mahagony"?

It looks good (based on what I see with a "sold" sign plastered across it). If you have concerns once you get it, post pictures.

I believe the color would be whiskey.

Welcome to TPF.

Had you come here prior to purchasing, we would have advised requesting more pictures, clearer pictures and/or another seller. I looked at this listing as well as
2014bismuto6
's other listings and all have blurry pictures and inadequate pictures. Combine that with the fact that her items are highly and well-faked so authentication is impossible.

As for the bag you bought, it can't be authenticated. It can't be proven as authentic nor can it be proven fake.

Over the years, we've seen "Coach" bags claimed to be either samples, prototypes or employee "gifts" with 00000 and 99999 "style numbers," neither of which are valid. Often, these bags have have serial prefixes with date codes that are years before Coach introduced a similar style as the bags in question.

The problem is that no one with any of the bags in question has ever had any type of documentation or proof of purchase from Coach proving their origin so we have no idea whether they were actually made by Coach or if they are counterfeit.

Whether you want to keep the bag is your decision. It may or may not have been made by Coach and IMO, should never be resold. (Since sellers are required -by law- to know items are authentic before listing, no seller would be able to legally flip it since she can't prove or verify authenticity.)

Had I received this bag, I (personally) would return it. I like to resell my items after I'm done using them and I wouldn't be able to resell this. I also wouldn't feel comfortable donating it since that keeps it in circulation, risking it being resold.
