The first one has the wrong serial font for anything from the D plant in 1998, the "o" in "No" has a too-long underscore line that in bags from 1999 and earlier is an almost 100 percent certain red flag, and "united states" in the creed has a squeeezed and crushed font that always indicates a fake. The strap grommets look like silver, not brass, and the back of the turnlock plate on the flap has the indentations that always mean a non-Coach turnlock. We've discussed a lot of these problems here in the last few weeks, if you search through recent posts you should find more information and photos of the same kinds of problems.

Seller " SQUEEZYBUG " has been discussed here before and has a record of listing fakes. I DO NOT recommend buying from that seller.

We can't stress enough how important it is to check tPF - best place is to use the Search link at the main Coach thread - to see if a seller has a history of selling fakes.

The second one looks genuine but I don't have a name.

Now for the good stuff...Can someone please authenticate this Coach Leatherware Bag?
From Salvation Army in Orlando...in beautiful, like-new condition for $24.99!
Approx. 11.5"w x 8"h x 5.25"d Shoulder strap drops 23" to rings.
An early 90's Baxter Bag #9903, yes? I have one in navy with the more modern creed from 1994.
As always...thanks in advance!

Could someone have a look at this Coach bag?
From GW back in my neighborhood.
Approx. 11.5"w x 9"h x 4.5"d. Straps drop 7" to rings.
A 2005 Hamptons Suede Gallery Tote #8B03 maybe?
Thanks, again!

And last...yesterday was 50% off day at GW...who could resist?
Approx. 11"w x 7.5"h x 3"d. Strap drops 8" to rings.
Maybe a 2009 Poppy Signature Something or other #14562?
There is also a black fabric, sewn-in Made in China label, didn't take pic...sorry.
Thanks!

Yes, yes and yes, Poppy Signature Sateen Groovy - is the longer strap missing?

In the interest of saving someone from buying a FAKE Coach bag (or receiving it as a Christmas gift!), I picked this up at Salvation Army last week for $2.49 (50% off day). I consider it a donation to a good cause. I knew the J8Y was trouble, as were many, many other details...virtually EVERY detail was wrong! But the leather will make some fine tassels :) I'm posting photos for those who may want to add them to their FAKE archives.

Yep, a lot of problems with that one - tassels sound like a good idea.

Thank you so much Hyacinth. I am not searching correctly but will keep working on it because I really hate to make you have to repeat yourself! Apologies.
I did not think the first one was legitimate for some of the reasons you mentioned (is that even a color from then?) and will report it.

I was hoping you would know the name of the 2nd one! I just have Tribeca x? for 9098 but I couldn't even tell if that bag is 9098 or 9099.

I really appreciate it! Thank you very much.

For the second one: in the picture it looks like 9099 but the seller thinks it is 9088, so it might be 9098, Tribeca shopper.

My own record of Squeezybug fakes goes back to 2010. It amazes me that squeezybug is still allowed to list Coach items.
Please authenticate. Thank you very much! :)

Item: NWT. Coach Madison Op Art Needlepoint Phoebe Shoulder Bag 26281
Listing Number: 181557396227
Seller: sudamac409
Link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/NWT-Coach-M...227?pt=US_CSA_WH_Handbags&hash=item2a45aa0303

I searched the thread for the seller's name and item number before posting.

Since squeezybug 's listings are being discussed, I'm curious about another sold listing she had.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Coach-9715-...D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

squeezybug creed:
$_57.JPG

In comparing her creed to a couple of others, there are differences.

This one is same month and plant but a year earlier. Note the hyphen between No. and the prefix:
$_57.JPG

And this one is from a month earlier than squeezybug's bag, but the same year and factory, also with the hyphen:

$_57.JPG

Is squeezybug's listing authentic?

And another lot listing she sold:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Coach-Lot-o...D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

Compare squeezybug's H9C creed:

Thanks, Hyacinth! Yes, the long strap and hangtag(s) are missing. I'll check the belt rack next time I'm at GW...straps often turn up there.

Yep, a lot of problems with that one - tassels sound like a good idea.

From grooves on the back of the turnlock to "solid brass" on the strap buckle, to the underscore on No., the list of boo-boo's goes on and on...but it does have YKK stamped on the inside zipper...your moment of Zen for today LOLOL!

Authentic.

The second bag you mentioned with the H9C creed is obviously fake. I think the first one might be okay. Although we've seen creeds with the extra dash for the D plant in the early 2000s, they might have had more than one stamping device. I believe we've seen authentic creeds from that time period without the dash. These might be okay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Bla...447?pt=US_CSA_WH_Handbags&hash=item418d01e74f
