BASIC PICTURES REQUIRED (but more may be requested): If necessary pictures are in the listing, it's not necessary to upload and duplicate them.

  • Full clear and legible creed text and serial number

  • For bags with turnlock closures, show pictures of back of female side of turnlock
  • For bags with magnetic snaps, show pictures of the male part of the snap so that the numbers and letters on it can be read

Thanks so much. Hopefully I did this right. It’s my first TPF post and first authenticate request. I just got into coach in the last year and intend to post my growing collection of coach purses, wallets, and accessories soon (those bag charms are too addictive!)

This is my first ebay coach purchase as well. Thanks again all. I wish I could have gotten this dinky 24 at the SAS or outlet but alas I was too slow. And it doesn’t seem they are making many new classic dinky 24 purses any longer so don’t want to miss out:)

Zipper brand has nothing to do with authenticity. Most fakes have zippers that say YKK and authentic items have various brands of zippers, including but not limited to YKK.

It's a Hamptons leather demi and your bag was made in 2003.

In my search for “doctor bag” I came into this. It is obviously fake with that creed. I think it is also listed on PM. I have not reported, don’t know how and want to get opinions from the experts first.

Because there are no details on that are incorrect. Authenticity can't be proven by one or two magic details, which is why the YKK Zipper baloney is so dangerous and so are the so-called "guides" that mention it. A Coach is genuine when every single detail is what it should be for that style, month, year and plant code.

It's called a Hamptons Leather Mini Hobo.

Yep, fake.

On the listing, there is a report button. On a desktop, it is on the right just above the description. Choose the right categories in the drop down menus and write a short description of why it is fake.

Was at a junk outlet today and a woman handed me this bag, said it was authentic but she didn’t feel like restoring it...
I’m skeptical, but bought it anyway, because it is very soft and while plain, has a cute retro look to it. I tried to do some research on it, and as best I can tell it’s a Club Satchel style.
Any help greatly appreciated!

It's genuine, from the early 1990s. If you want it identified you'll have to post measurements and a photo of one of the sides of the bag.

It's a genuine Brighton Bag, style 9895 from the early 1990s.

Very fake. Return it for a full refund. Fake style, fake leather, fake lining, fake fabric, fake hardware. and buckle. And that magnetic snap wasn't used by Coach. And there's at least one problem with the inside too.

You need to have Coach items authenticated BEFORE you buy, not after. If that's not possible or the seller won't allow it, don't buy it.
