• For bags with turnlock closures, show pictures of back of female side of turnlock

I’ve never seen a Coach bag with the Signature C “sideways” before. Can anyone tell me if they’ve seen this? Is it authentic? Was it a limited edition? Any info would be appreciated! (Sorry I don’t currently have any other photos or info)

Seller messaged back and said she used Simply Natural Leather Seal on the bag. I can’t find that exact product anywhere but google responds with similar products containing BEES WAX.

Using a product containing beeswax on the vintage Convertible Clutch you purchased wouldn't necessarily cause it to feel waxy. There might have been other products used on it in the past, if the seller isn't the original owner. Maybe the seller applied Simply Natural Leather Seal (Outback) on top of whatever was already there without cleaning the bag first. Maybe too much product was used. Maybe they didn't buff it out properly. There's really no way to know for sure. If shoe polish was ever used on it, it's very difficult to remove it.

Since you don't have any photos of the creed and serial number, we can't give a full authentication. Coach DID make some styles with diagonal Cs, please read the Salearea Guides beginning with post 14 in that thread, it's stickied at the top of this page. The items were probably made for the outlets since they look like PVC-coated canvas, and are probably genuine. And no, they weren't limited editions, just the opposite in fact.

It looks good. Coach doesn't have authenticity cards in the US, but I've seen them used in Asia. It's a Peyton leather medium wallet, not from the Legacy line.

  • Please be sure to include a clear readable photo of the creed stamp and serial number from inside the bag or accessory if there is one, and the bag's measurements when the bag is an older or vintage leather Coach.
    
  • Since mid-2014, Coach stopped putting serial numbers on creeds so in newer bags where the creeds don't have serial numbers, we also need to see pictures of the labels/tags from inside the bag. They are either both in the main open part sewn into the seam of the lining, or one might be buried deep inside the zipper pocket. One shows where made and the other has a serial number.
• Authenticators are not required to answer every request and it is their right to ignore a request that is not in the proper format.
• Please note that comments on price and condition are NOT permitted.
• Do NOT PM an authenticator or moderator to request authentication. Any and all such requests should be posted in this thread.
• Should one of your items be questioned in this thread, you are welcome to provide additional pictures or materials supporting its authenticity.

There is signature inside and outside. If Coach puts signature fabric on the exterior, they don't use signature fabric for the lining. The creed is wrong for the style.
