Sorry, there are multiple photos, it's an album on imgur if you click the link. The creed number is H1721-24218; there's no little white tag that I could find. The ebay listing is down now so I can't link that. Let me know if you need more info!

Using a product containing beeswax on the vintage Convertible Clutch you purchased wouldn't necessarily cause it to feel waxy. There might have been other products used on it in the past, if the seller isn't the original owner. Maybe the seller applied Simply Natural Leather Seal (Outback) on top of whatever was already there without cleaning the bag first. Maybe too much product was used. Maybe they didn't buff it out properly. There's really no way to know for sure. If :yucky: shoe polish :yucky: was ever used on it, it's very difficult to remove it.

I’m guessing there’s possibly several products on the bag. It just feels so thick and waxy. I’m going to tell the seller I want to return for a refund because I’m not even going to chance starting a rehab on this bag, as there’s probably too much done to it already.

I think that's best. Unless a seller is actually an expert on rehabs or belongs to this site and has experience with the techniques and products recommended by the pros in the Rehab and Rescue forum, they should just leave the blasted bags alone and ;let the seller make their own decisions about how to (or not to) rehab.

Remember, if you run into problems, or the seller tries to stall accepting the return and giving a refund, BeenBurned and Whateve can be incredibly helpful.

Thank you for the advice, Hyacinth. I’ve asked for a return/refund so will see how it goes.
