It looks okay.

Can I have another opinion?

Keep in mind that your post is actually missing information required for authentication. See post #1 for the posting format.

And from that post:
Authenticators are not required to answer every request and it is their right to ignore a request that is not in the proper format.

I'm sorry, BeenBurned, I didn't mean I didn't like your answer. I do. It just sounded like you weren't 100% sure. I was hoping for a more definite answer.

Yes, luv2shop4u247 uses her own pictures. If you look at her listings, pictures have the same photographing style, same background and same listing style.

http://www.ebay.com/sch/luv2shop4u2...eaOpUFzxSaN6cAFmgtk%3D&_trksid=p2047675.l2562

What I think the seller is doing is someone unethical, IMO. I bet she buys at yard sales, thrift shops, ebay, etc. and when she has an item for which she already has pictures, she uses the same images.

There's no issue with doing that when selling NWT or unused items. But when selling pre-owned items and condition is important, recycling pictures is a huge no-no!

I'd file SNAD and submit the side by side comps, including pointing out that they have different serial numbers and demand a full refund. You should also have your return shipping reimbursed.

luv2shop4u247 needs to show actual pictures of the bags she's selling!

Actually, I'm going to express a much stronger opinion. I do NOT recommend LUV2SHOP2U247.

Her business practices are at best, misleading and at worst, dishonest.

As just one example, she has 2 listings for this same pre-owned red bag yet all listings show the same photos. Certainly, they aren't both identical as far as condition!

I just wanted to comment on something here, not sticking up for the other issues with the seller, but I believe what happened with the two identical red bags is that she accidentally posted the same listing twice.

Unfortunately another of ebay's new procedures is that if you end an active listing early you pay the FINAL VALUE FEE as if it had been sold.
They allow ONE error a year lol.

I have done this myself I have to admit and I am not about to pay 9-10% just because of a silly mistake (why we can't just remove the listing, especially if it is an obvious duplicate?).
So one of the inventive ways to get around not selling it twice is to raise the price of the second item, thereby ensuring that nobody will bid on it.
(If it gets bid on and you have to explain to the potential buyer that it was listed twice accidentally and you cancel the transaction you get a defect and maybe a neg as well.)

can i have another opinion?

Beenburned not only has an 8-year track record of accurate, informed and extremely well-researched authentications, but I consider her the best Coach authenticator on this forum (or any other) - which means the best Coach authenticator on the internet, especially with styles made in the last 10 or 15 years.

Authentications are educated OPINIONS, we don't guarantee that they're going to be right every single time.

BeenBurned said "It looks Okay" It sounded like uncertain. Not like Yes, it is authentic, more like "..It looks okay..." as in needs more info...

Great minds... :D

Isn't it only true that the seller only pays commission on an listing ended early if there are bids? Since there aren't bids, can't she end one of these early without a penalty?

I got confused last month because they offered free BIN listings but they weren't free for renewals. I copied my listings so they would appear new and qualify for the discount. Now I have multiples of the same item in my unsold listings, and several times I have accidentally had the same item listed twice, once as a BIN and the other as an auction. If this happens, I don't want to end the BIN because I've already paid for 30 days on it.

Often we feel more comfortable without giving absolutes. We can't know with 100% certainty unless we bought the bag ourselves directly from Coach. Without having the bag in our hands and seeing and feeling every detail, our information isn't complete. Every authentication we provide is our best educated opinion. In most cases, "it looks okay" means we don't see anything wrong.

Another thing is that we don't say that something "looks okay" if there aren't adequate pictures necessary to offer an opinion. Sometimes we'll say, "no red flags but a picture of (fill in the blank) is needed to be sure."

How do we know whether the proceeds from these sales really go to charity. Do the sellers have to provide proof of a charity number for them to list it as such?
When they have that givingworks ribbon, the donations go automatically. It comes out of the proceeds from the sale and the seller never even sees it.

It's the sellers who have a description saying they donate but there's no legitimate charity and it's not in line with ebay's charity rules.

Please authenticate. I was hoping I would get outbid. Lol!

It's a genuine Sonoma Pocket Shopper Natural Grain. And even with the shipping it's only 22 dollars, which is a decent price for a Sonoma.

If you tend to be an impulse bidder who sometimes changes her mind before the end of the auction, I suggest using a sniping service instead of directly bidding. With most services you can cancel your bid as late as a few minutes before the auction ends with no penalty, cost, or mark against your buying record. The fees for winning bids in completed auctions are pretty reasonable considering the money you save in other ways.

I do use a sniping service but I never thought about starting with the service. Duh! Trying to curb my enthusiasm by putting things on a watch list first.

Thanks for the authentication, and wise advice!

One thing I've found too is that with a service I usually have plenty of time to decide what my max bid should be and it's much easier to stick with it that way. And I still keep it on my Ebay Watch List, with a note on my Bidding page of my snipe bid. :smile1:
