Creed appears to be peeling???? Thank you always!

It seems ok, serial number looks like E5 (or 6) D-9984. More opinions are welcome.

It's not sewn or glued down so it can't be peeling. It might be curling, but because of the way the bag is made with no pocket and with the drawstring top, the only place the creed patch can be attached is at the top.

Well, her response was very uninformative...
"
Totally understand your concern! I'm a former Coach employee (former Kate Spade employee too) and all bags listed have been purchased at employee sample sales. Most Coach samples are made with either a sample creed # on the inside story patch, or none at all. The benefit is that these are mostly totally unique bags - some styles never even went into production. Samples also have the benefit of being made with the utmost quality and craftsmanship. Hope this helps!"

Passing on all these listings!
THanks girls!
And again I call horsefeathers on colleenk415 on her explanation for several reasons.
1. Employees are prohibited from reselling.
2. Employees would never call a creed a story patch
3. Even if she's a former employee as she claims, she's been selling many very recent styles. Assuming she didn't become a "former employee" yesterday, the style numbers and date codes are too recent.

(Sheesh, these people should work for the government. They have answers for everything.)

Were the 5xxxx styles even out in 2013 as shown on the creed of the croc embossed bag with the inaccurate alligator text?

Something "funny" is going on here.

I got a purse authenticated already here, providing the seller's pictures at the time (post 2461).

After a long delay I finally got the purse, that is NOT the one in the pictures. The one I got is much faded out, the strap has threads coming out of the laced part, and... the creed number is different. Did the seller send me a fake?

Please advise, TIA

Ugh!! Your pictures were posted on #2458 and my authentication was #2461 and you are (of course) absolutely correct in that they're different bags.

The bag you received IS authentic but certainly in much more used condition than the one you expected and were shown.

Was this bag in an ebay (or other online) listing? This is why we like and require links when available.

I'm off to see if I can find where she might have stolen the pictures from.

Thank you, not a fake is good, but not the purse I thought I would get. I see the need for links, sorry.

This is the seller luv2shop4u247 and on the pictures I first saw on search, the purse was on that green top mannequin. Other strange thing is that I checked the feedback, and two different people left positive feedback for this same bag, bought only a couple days apart. I checked those listings and had the same pictures.

I can not post more now, I have to leave in a minute, but if needed I will find it later.

I'm editing this post because I see that you bought from luv2shop4u247. I'd like to think this is an honest mistake but you have a slam-dunk SNAD dispute!

If an honest mistake, she needs to proof-read her listings, make sure that her pre-owned items have pictures of the actual item and verify that her buyers are getting what is pictured.

And if it's not an honest mistake but intentional, the seller needs to become more honest.

The following is my original response after having searched for the source of the images but before realizing that your seller is the one who pictured items different from what she was selling.

Ugh!

Bingo! If you bought from this seller and listing, then the seller didn't send the same bag. If you didn't buy from this seller and listing, you bought from a dishonest seller who stole pictures and wasn't even smart enough to show pictures of a bag with the same serial number!!

The listing. (When you click on the pictures in the body, it brings up the album)

WishingonaCoach's problem demonstrates precisely why pictures only aren't adequate for determining the integrity of a seller.

So the auctiva album belongs to the seller, they are not using other seller's listings, but they are selling items that do not correspond to the pictures, by accident or on purpose, am I correct?

Yes, luv2shop4u247 uses her own pictures. If you look at her listings, pictures have the same photographing style, same background and same listing style.

What I think the seller is doing is someone unethical, IMO. I bet she buys at yard sales, thrift shops, ebay, etc. and when she has an item for which she already has pictures, she uses the same images.

There's no issue with doing that when selling NWT or unused items. But when selling pre-owned items and condition is important, recycling pictures is a huge no-no!

I'd file SNAD and submit the side by side comps, including pointing out that they have different serial numbers and demand a full refund. You should also have your return shipping reimbursed.

luv2shop4u247 needs to show actual pictures of the bags she's selling!

Actually, I'm going to express a much stronger opinion. I do NOT recommend LUV2SHOP2U247.

Her business practices are at best, misleading and at worst, dishonest.

As just one example, she has 2 listings for this same pre-owned red bag yet all listings show the same photos. Certainly, they aren't both identical as far as condition!

Thank you for your help and advice, and of course your time.

She (if a she) is careless or dishonest. She offers free returns, I know I can get all my money back, but she is going to keep doing the same thing.

Her feedback indicates that buyers were unhappy with the condition of items received. I bet there have been other listings where the pictures showed a bag in better condition than the one that was sent.

Her feedback is awful!

One way you can prevent others from getting scammed the same way is to wait until you get a full refund and then leave clear and factual Feedback. Such as - "bag I got NOT the same one in pics, much dirtier, damaged and worn". Keep it under 80 letters but tell it like it is, and if she gives you a hard time open a Dispute with Ebay immediately.

And always check the seller's Feedback at Toolhaus.org before bidding. Sure, some dishonest buyers leave bad FB to try and force the seller to give a refund but that's obviously not the case with this one. This seller has pi**ed off a LOT of buyers.
