I received this Ranch bag yesterday. The seller didn't post a good creed picture so I took a chance and lucked out! (Posted a picture of it below.) Dimensions check out and are: 11.5'' x 9'' x 3.75'' The leather is so smoochy and lovely, I don't think I'll be able to flip this one! I'm pretty sure it's okay, but some confirmation would be lovely along with when it was probably made.

I wrote to the seller saying the bag I got was not the one on the pictures, different creed, etc... so it was undeniable and I was not happy with the transaction. Seller replied almost instantly to send the bag back, I would get a full refund and may be a credit for the inconvenience. (No sorry, no I made a mistake...)

I thought about it for a minute, and actually I do not mind the bag, a different story with no second thought, would have been if a fake was sent instead, but this one I know I can make it look much better, but not at the price I paid because it was for a different bag.
I replied that if willing to give a credit, I would take it and keep the bag. I got no other reply till this morning when I saw was a partial refund on my PayPal. I am OK with the new price of the bag.

Now I need your advice on how to leave feedback that could help other possible buyers. The seller is still dishonest but she (and it is a she) worked with me. Do I leave a positive stating the facts of the transaction or a neutral?

That's up to you. I would personally leave the same comment I mentioned before but try to fit in "got full refund" or something like it that would fit in the 80-character Feedback limit. Other buyers really should be warned about the seller, I don't care how many refunds she gives.

One of the things we were told over and over again in Sales is that on average only one out of ten people will complain when they're unhappy with a product or seller. I make it my personal choice to be that tenth customer.

But then I'm not a very forgiving person. :D :lecture:
This is a tough one because she responded with a partial. But again, that's one of the "tricks" sellers use to keep their feedback score up; make the buyer happy and the buyer will leave positive feedback.

In many cases, I don't disagree with that. But in this case, based on the toolhaus, it's clear that the seller has a long history of not describing her items accurately. (I believe she frequently recycles pictures, using images of bags in better condition than that she's selling at the time.)
http://toolhaus.org/cgi-bin/negs?User=luv2shop4u247&Dirn=Received+by

And luv2shop4u247 lack of apology or demonstration of remorse for clearly having sold a SNAD item? Pffft.

If you leave positive feedback (IMO, unearned in this case) with a comment about receiving a partial, that feedback will be lost among a sea of other green comments. OTOH, a neutral or neg will stand out, show up in a toolhaus search and will show her pattern.

I've ended several BINs early when I've sold the item on another site and didn't get charged FVF. I've never had it happen on an auction yet, but I guess I could potentially sell an item on another site while I have it listed in an ebay auction.
I apologize if I mistakenly gave out wrong information.
That was told to me personally by an ebay employee on the phone (about a year ago).
I made sure I understood what she was saying, even gave her the exact scenario I mentioned,
and she confirmed there would be a fee charged.
BUT - they most likely changed that policy if you say you have not been charged.
I'll get to the bottom of it!

Zipper pulls and style number not quite right. Could this be so rare because the style is fake !?

BINGO !!!

I only wish that fakes WERE as rare as the seller claims. :graucho:

The font isn't right for any bag made in the D plant in 1994, and the style is definitely NOT a 9927 Willis.

Report away!
