*Sigh* More of "Coach: my middle name is "inconsistent."

Adding to Coach's changes that make it difficult to keep up, few sellers have listings that offer much insight! Most listings don't show the white label with the production/serial information and without that, we can't identify when and where the bags were made.

That said, this is my opinion. Other opinions are welcome.

Your bag was made in December, 2014 in Vietnam and looks good.

Based on the few comps I could find where sellers showed adequate pictures, it looks like in August, 2014, the bag (33547) had oval plaques as shown in the following listings. (Both also are authentic.)
1 - made in August 2014 with oval plaque: https://www.ebay.com/itm/NWT-Coach-...876976?hash=item44206e51f0:g:vyAAAOSwZvFbIHXt
2- made in August 2014 with oval plaque: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Coach-Edie...pa325b:sc:USPSPriorityFlatRateBox!02452!US!-1

Without going through every single current and completed 33547, I wasn't able to find any bags made between August and December but what appears to have happened is that sometime after August, Coach made a design change and replaced the oval plaque with the logo as shown on your bag.
And this listing of a bag made in January 2015 has the same logo as your bag, further confirming (in my mind) that the change was permanent (at least temporarily permanent!)

Thanks Been Burned! it is very confusing also I see some have the little feet on bottom and this one does not
also the style number on the tag does not start with F so does that mean its not a Factory Bag?

No, it doesn't appear to be a factory bag. Because so few listings show the white tag, it's hard to know whether any were MFF but those with price tags with F before the style number were sold at outlets. Without seeing the labels, I'm guessing they're boutique bags sent to the outlet.

The "Daypack" is fake.

I don't recognise the other 2, and without a style number or creed I'm not comfortable authenticating them.
the weird thing is they put the "logo" on that wristlet or pouch. I'm thinking its legit. As the rivets have coach stamped on them also. The same for the floral one weird, it has that semi clear mini tag on the inside.

Can anyone help me authenticate this Coach vintage black leather backpack, please? I purchased it already, on Poshmark, and waiting for it to arrive. The photo of the creed is very blurry, but it looks like it reads "9960". Btw, if there aren't enough photos, or they're too blurry, I would be happy to post more photos when it arrives (should be tomorrow). Here is the link:

Thank you in advance!

Here are the photos. Please let me know if any other(s) will help. Thank you!IMG_4479.jpgIMG_4480.jpgIMG_4481.jpgIMG_4482.jpgIMG_4483.jpgIMG_4484.jpg

It looks like one of the original Penny Bags and was probably made some time between the mid-70s and 1980. The original ones with the strap grommet on the side of the bag and with the thin double strap aren't seen very often.

There was a long-running on and off discussion stretching over several months at the Vintage Chat forum over at the main Coach page that might give you more details and information. Look for posts mentioning the Penny and the Dinky. Starts here:

continuing with a few more posts here:

You may even want to post photos of your bag there, or post a link there back to your post here using this URL which will take them directly to your photos here:

It's a style that sparks some interesting discussions and research. Nice find! (You might even ask for advice on removing the verdigris, that green discoloration on the leather around the metal hardware.)

Thank you for the information. It was a great find, I only paid $1 for it at the flea market!
