It's fine. It's a cafe bag, 4111, from the Lightweights collection, from the early 90s.
Here's a catalog pic of the Cafe Bag 4111 and another similar style (the "B" bag in the second catalog pic, sorry I don't have the part that shows the name and style number):

Comment: creed spacing looks wrong. Serial number not shown.

If the serial prefix is actually E4C-, it's FAKE. Maybe that's why the seller is being so careful not to show it. All of the genuine creeds from the C plant from 1994 would have said "Made in the United States" at the bottom of the creed statement.

Here's one from the same plant and month. The logo is also wrong, along with the font, the Coach cartouche should still say Coach LEATHERWARE, and should still have the old "scars, scratches..." creed:

The similar bag in the second picture (B) is a town bag 4090.

I wouldn't feel comfortable reporting it without actually seeing the number. If the number is as the seller states 'E4C 9927', then it has the wrong wording.

ETA: beaten by Hyacinth's fast fingers!

Right, I won't report it, but the wording and cartouche imprint seemed wrong to me. Thanks!

Thank you, Hyacinth!

And thank you Whateve, after your first comment, I asked for a clearer photo and got this one-- it does indeed look like Hyacinth is right and it's an "L."

I appreciate both your help! I'm new at this and am really grateful you steered me in the right direction. :hugs:

I'm guessing that you had to ask for the creed pic? That seller should know by now how important that picture is.

It's genuine, but with the unfortunate history of that ID, the seller who took it over should make extra effort to provide a full set of photos.

I know that sometimes it happens that there are knockoffs that sometimes (rarely) and unfortunately have a number that may be a number that may correspond to a valid, authentic bag.

Ok, I'd also love some expert input on these two white leather Coach bags. One doesn't have any serial number, which makes me think it may be fake? I'm super new at this and am not sure of the names of either bag - sorry!
