This is not a thread to ask general questions about COACH, please refer to our main Coach forum for such information.

Thank you and be safe!

Ok, I'd also love some expert input on these two white leather Coach bags. One doesn't have any serial number, which makes me think it may be fake? I'm super new at this and am not sure of the names of either bag - sorry!

First one: Hippie Flap ?
H: 8" x W: 9"

and the 2nd one:
H: 5.5" x W: 8.5"

Both of them are genuine and at least 30 years old.

Hi! I'm new and did a search for this bag but didn't see it, so hoping someone can help me authenticate! Thank you in advance!

I believe its a stewardess bag?

Yes it is. In the future, please post measurements as we request in the first post on Page 1 of this thread.

And I don't know what you used to Search for it, but you can't use the serial number to search for older bags. Anything made before 1994 will have unique non-searchable serial numbers.

Welcome to tPF!

hi y'all in out and about again and thinking of picking up this bag. I think it's the penny bag. It's around 9 or 10 inches long about 6 inches high.any help authenticating would be appreciated

Wonderful finds. The first doesn't have a serial number because it was made before Coach used serial numbers, sometime in the mid 70s. The second is a dinky bag, made a little later, probably in the late 70s or the 80s.

Not a penny bag. There is a discussion about the origin of the name penny in the Vintage chat thread. It looks like a convertible clutch 9635. It is authentic.

I've never seen that label on a bag either but I don't see anything in either of the bags that indicates they aren't authentic.

They look fine.

I'm sorry for my delay in reporting back on this issue. Some of you may have seen that I asked about this over on the Borough clubhouse, where several members confirmed that they had legitimate, store-bought boroughs with this tag. It appears that it may have been more prevalent on the earlier bags.

Very well said, even if a little late! Hee hee!

Talk about late ...me! Haha. I’m still learning my way around this site and how to find my answers without scrolling through everyone else’s questions [emoji12]I thank you both! Learning a lot on this forum.

Also, in the rules it asks for us to do a search to see if the bag we are inquiring about was already authenticated. How is this done, by bag I’d # in search bar?

Oops!! Sorry about leaving out the dimensions, and thank you for your help!

That refers to a specific online listing. If you are asking about a bag that is listed on ebay or another selling site, do a search, in the search bar, to see if someone has already asked about it. Usually searching by the seller's name works, but the forum software doesn't always read special characters correctly. If a bag is in your possession or for sale privately, then you don't need to do the search. Don't make the mistake of thinking that another bag of the same style counts. Just because your bag has the same number as another doesn't mean it is the same bag, and doesn't mean it is authentic.

Comment: already has bids!

Please help report! I knew it looked familiar! I had reported one last September with the same orange leather pockets and though this seller doesn't give close ups of details I'm pretty sure it's fake!

Starting post #25019

https://forum.purseblog.com/index.php?threads/889527/
chaocheya-0 also listed that same fake twice (and it was removed twice) in January:
https://forum.purseblog.com/threads...oach-fakes-here.824098/page-323#post-31970819
and again 2 days later:

If the pictures are the bag you've already received, it's fine.

But like other sites, Overstock has fakes too so it's a good idea to get items looked at.
