Unfortunately, giving the buyer a hard time is never worth the consequences.

I would like to think that had you just accepted the return anyway even though you knew it was remorse and not a sincere SNAD claim, she probably wouldn't have negged you. Sadly, now you have a not-so-nice feedback on your account.

Please post that buyer's ID here and/or on the BBL thread so other Coach sellers can block her.

I will definitely share her ID with all of you. I have also gotten a formal authentication from an online Authenticator (either of them can do this bag without a mistake, it's not a tough one) and will post it to the case. Then I will call and have it closed in my favor. That will take care of her feedback as well. I have also reported her for threatening neg fb in exchange for not taking a return. I would have gladly just worked with her, but now she has gotten nasty. Thank you all for your wisdom. Will report back when all is done.

That serial number is mentioned in the Daria48 Fake Numbers List at Ebay:
http://www.ebay.com/gds/Fake-Coach-Serial-Numbers-NT-4903-and-more-/10000000002744619/g.html
"0444-317, 0444-316 AND 0444-315 and possibly others beginning with 0444 - some "classic" fakes are showing up with these numbers and have a number of mistakes in the creed stamps and on the bags themselves. Assume they're all fake.
Any 'classic' leather bags with the # 0444-31(X) and heavy horizontal lines both above and below the numbers is fake."

The "overstamping lines" above and below the numbers are the wrong shape, and the attachment hardware at the top of the bag for the removeable strap is wrong too. The correct solid post-style mounts for all the Carousel-type styles are shown below:

Thank you so much to both of you for confirming my belief that the bag was fake.
I wanted your opinion as authenticators, without me making the "suggestion" of being fake, because I have the feeling I might have to involve my CC company and request a charge back, so I need more than just my word.

Hi authenticators. I picked this up at Goodwill this morning. It seems fine to me (but needs some work) but I don't know much about bags from this era/China. Could you please authenticate?

It looks good. It was called Soft Legacy Small Backpack.

Hi and thanks in advance for any assistance. I'm a picker in Denver and come across bags and purses quite often. This one seems like a slam dunk but for what I paid($0.75), it seems to good to be true and I would hate to sell a fake. I really hoping it's real!1515006945306543612111.jpg 1515006994751291369929.jpg 15150070286561208317573.jpg

Stewardess bag for United Airlines.
Measurements are correct. Leather is thick and seems period correct(1978-1980?). Serial number is #065-6537

It's genuine, from the early to mid-1980s. Usually the ones made for the airlines, mostly United, had slightly different straps and an opening or window in the ID or boarding pass pocket under the flap, and the measurements might be slightly different from the "civilian" version. If there's a United stamp on the strap it's almost sure to be real, at least I've never seen a fake one. If you're selling it online be sure to show a close-up of the UAL stamp.

Here's one of United's old uniforn photos from the first half of the 1980s:

Thank you and wow what a quick response. Any recommendations on if I should leave it as is or recolor it?
It has the symbol on the strap (at least I think this is it.View attachment 3923474

Yes, that's the one. See the pic I added to my previous post.

I wouldn't touch the color. Most real collectors would rather handle their own rehabs. Just say something like "We've left the bag in the same condition as we found it so the buyer can make their own decisions about if and what to rehab."

Here's an example of the UAL logo: Stewardess_9525 UAL Logo3.jpg

Trying to find info on this bag. I've never seen a creed on this place in a bag, but if it's real I know it's vintage from the creed and the number.
Thanks in advance!
EDIT: compressed photos to attach - thanks Hyacinth!

It's authentic. You didn't give any measurements, but if it is about 6 1/2 inches by 5 inches, it is a mini pouch #9740 from the mid 80s.

Comments: I don't know much about Coach sunglasses, but I do look at a lot of them & something seems off with these. The C's don't look correct & the seller has a large amount of them, which is also a red flag, right? Thank you to anyone that responds. If counterfeit I'll put them in the 'fakes' thread. Plus I'll report all that's been sold.

ETA: I just saw they have a ton of designer glasses for sale. They have more Coach styles also. Maybe I'm wrong. I hope so.
