Hi! It's been a long time since I was on this forum but I need some help. Several years ago I bought a purse off eBay and I was pretty sure it was authenticated. Long story short, I decided to resell the purse. I sold it a couple weeks ago and now the buyer is requesting a return saying "This bag looks like a knockoff that you can buy on the streets of NYC for $15. The inside is cheaply made. The outside does not look, smell or feel like actual leather. This isn t a quality item at a good price." If that's the case, I'd be happy to accept the return. But I don't think it's a fake. In any case, I had deleted my photos since it sold so the only way to see it is to re-list it.

Here are the details:
Penelope BLACK Pebbled Leather Shoulder Bag Purse, G0982-14425
Listing Number: 332509559584
Seller: janetw94061
Link: https://www.ebay.com/itm/332509559584

Could someone please let me know? I will delete the listing and refund the buyer ASAP if this is truly a fake.

Thanks!

The bag is a Penelope satchel made in 2009 for the full priced Coach stores and department stores and there's nothing wrong with it. And your pictures in the sold listing are totally adequate to prove authenticity.

Feel free to refer the buyer here.

(It's not necessary to have relisted the bag. You could have posted a link to the completed/sold listing.)

Comments:
I haven't seen an NYC bag faked (I believe hyacinth posted that they have seen one), but this one definitely puzzles me. I've seen the made in USA creed on station bags in the front pocket (where you normally see the nyc made station bags) but I've never seen the made in nyc on the inside pocket... the hardware of the strap is also not a trigger? Maybe it was swapped. TIA!

I don't see any problems. There doesn't seem to be any set rule on where the creed was stamped on early versions of that style.

IMG_9206.JPG IMG_9207.JPG IMG_9208.JPG IMG_9209.JPG IMG_9210.JPG Please authenticate this bag in my possession. The number in the creed is E9C-9816. The bottom measures 9 1/4 x 3 1/2. It's about 9 inches tall at the top zipper, and the strap is about 47-48 inches. Thank you.

Found a beautiful leather backpack at Goodwill, needs a good clean.. but when I google it's serial number it seems pretty rare. Could you please authenticate?
12 x 16 x 5 full size backpack, lined, magnetic closure
