She just opened a SNAD, and then she admits that the Coach rep at the store told her it was "vinyl". I told her that Coach cannot authenticate bags and told her to post it here and on the Fashion boards, but thinking that she just wanted a return and couldn't just ask like real people. This is what ebay has created between buyers and sellers. I just don't want to ever be accused of selling a fake bag, which I would never do. I thank you for your time.
I also advised her to come here and post any bag she is thinking about, rather than accusing a good seller of selling fakes. Like there aren't enough fakes to worry about, without involving real bags. Thanks, k

Often, when buyers see a "no return" policy and terminology that states, "I do not take returns for Buyer's Remorse" they find a reason to return it and often that reason is SNAD.

We've said it ad nauseum but it's often necessary to repeat it: COACH EMPLOYEES ARE NOT A DEPENDABLE SOURCE OF AUTHENTICITY INFORMATION. And in this case, they can't even tell her correctly what the bag is made of!

Coach trains its sales staff to SELL and often, they aren't familiar with current in-stock items. So how many employees will know and be able to identify and authenticate a 13 year old bag.

Since the dispute is for SNAD, you have to pay for return shipping also. (Unfortunately, that's the rules and in this case and many others, it's not fair.)

But keep in mind too that had she told you the truth and admitted that the bag was smaller than expected or simply that she didn't like it, would you have accepted the return? You listing says otherwise.

My buyer has offered to pay for return shipping, which, right there, says that she knows that the bag is real, just wants a regular return, which she should have just asked for. Listing says to contact me, listing says that I often relist and resell, never had a fake cry for SNAD. Never. So sad that buyers think this is okay. Even worse is that ebay thinks this is okay. In clearance mode though, done with this. Thanks

If I may I had this experience twice lately, buyers that they do not like the size, the color or whatever they ask me to return it and when I say sure (I take returns) just follow the return/refund process, they choose "by mistake" SNAD. So I immediately call Ebay and tell them what happened, and in both occasions they sided with me, because on messages there is proof that is not SNAD, just buyer's remorse.
The process once started can not change (the reason given), but the buyers returned the items and I issued a PayPal refund for the price of the item only. Then another call to Ebay so they can see the PayPal refund is done and they gave me my FVF back.

Still a pain to have to go through all this. If you have on messaging the real reason, call Ebay.

Unfortunately, giving the buyer a hard time is never worth the consequences.

I would like to think that had you just accepted the return anyway even though you knew it was remorse and not a sincere SNAD claim, she probably wouldn't have negged you. Sadly, now you have a not-so-nice feedback on your account.

Please post that buyer's ID here and/or on the BBL thread so other Coach sellers can block her.

Hello kind authenticators. TIA for your input
Item in my possession.

Item Name: Coach Carousel Style 9942
View attachment 3922262 View attachment 3922263 View attachment 3922264 View attachment 3922265 View attachment 3922266

That serial number is mentioned in the Daria48 Fake Numbers List at Ebay:
http://www.ebay.com/gds/Fake-Coach-Serial-Numbers-NT-4903-and-more-/10000000002744619/g.html
"0444-317, 0444-316 AND 0444-315 and possibly others beginning with 0444 - some "classic" fakes are showing up with these numbers and have a number of mistakes in the creed stamps and on the bags themselves. Assume they're all fake.
Any 'classic' leather bags with the # 0444-31(X) and heavy horizontal lines both above and below the numbers is fake."

The "overstamping lines" above and below the numbers are the wrong shape, and the attachment hardware at the top of the bag for the removeable strap is wrong too. The correct solid post-style mounts for all the Carousel-type styles are shown below:

Hi authenticators. I picked this up at Goodwill this morning. It seems fine to me (but needs some work) but I don't know much about bags from this era/China. Could you please authenticate?
Legacy mini backpack?
