This one is authentic. They sometimes made mistakes.

Thanks Whateve
I won the auction and I RARELY win the good stuff, lots of way more savvy buyers and they know there stuff, no one interested in this but me. When I bid on it I thought that is so pretty I would use it fake or not (!?!). I like Dooneys but they usually are not the style for me. This one I liked a lot.
BUT
the rivets look different colors, leash hook and zipper pull look peeling, did not see any of that clearly. I thought Dooneys were always solid brass. Also there are tabs at top of narrow side edge seam on one side I read is a no no and can't figure out interior, lined or not? Entirely my doing but I regret it! Hopefully Been Burned will check in.
It is neat to know you have similar style though. Style is nice.

This is the style I have: http://www.horsekeeping.com/Dooney/SAT/1142-R21-zipshoulder-blbt.htm
I often use this site to identify styles.

Did Coach make a keychain that looks like this? Seller had another keychain that I reported and has been removed. Her others look okay.

What about this one? I don't see any problems but I don't recall the style. It looks recent. Was it an Asian exclusive?

Finally, the Willis - I am 95% sure that this one is fake, unfortunately.

Item: Willis
Location: In my possession
Dimensions: Height - 10", Length - 10.5", width - 3.75"
Strap from end to end, buckled: 46"
Comments: After comparing this to an authenticated Willis, the turnlock looks all wrong - the hardware is covered in the interior and has grooves, and the placement on the front of the bag seems off. In two of the photos below I include a side by side comparison of the bag with an authenticated one - one shows the covered turnlock on the interior.

Yes, unfortunately you are right; it's fake. Side by sides always highlight the differences. You need to be very careful with J6D prefixes. That is a favorite of counterfeiters. Another thing you should always look at on a Willis or station bag is the handle. Most counterfeiters don't taper the handles enough.

It's very helpful for me to know about the J6D prefixes and the handle. Thank you SO much for all of your help with these!!!

The pink stars are a Japan style, #63615.
63615_multi resin Stars bag charm-jpn-aug2015.jpg

I have a strong feeling the Sea chain is fake, the hangtag has too thin a font and the lettering is raised too much. But give me a little while to check.

ETA - I found what looks like the genuine version of the Sea charm in a collection owned by member Suzanne B that was posted a few years back, see the top of this post. The pic of the genuine one is pretty small but notice the difference in the life preserver, the anchor and the other charms. The two larger pics are of the fake. The original pic is here, post 3169, second pic:

thank you. I suspected the sea charm was fake.

eta: Now that I look at it again, I can see the enameling on the large hangtag is uneven.

Could I please get an authentication from one of the esteemed local experts?
